Well, that's it. After midnight, so it's D-day.
Will post after the operation when I'm recovering. :think:

It was a major op!

I've postponed the cambelt change ( fingers crossed) and just got the MOT, 60,000 mile service and brake discs/ pads/ fluid renewed. A grand total of.....

you must be heavy on your brakes.

bought my car with 21,000 on clock. to date still on the same pads/discs.


Recommendation at 50 thou service (in March) was to replace rear discs (corroded). Good policy to replace pads at same time. It seemed like a good idea to also replace the front at the same time, regardless of wear.

The cambelt/ waterpump will be done mid January (after payday) due to christmas being a major financial onslaught. What's another 1,000-1,500 miles.... :whistle:

JEEEBUS!! I normally buy whole (well almost) cars for less than HALF that!!

although saying that, the mk4 costs a bit come service time..
