Whats are the gains (if any) from doing this?

Also can anyone tell me how much a suitable 4 bar fpr is new, and a part number would be really cool, thanks

Steve, you're in Worcs aren't ya? (remember we met up and you vag-com'ed me?)

If so, get down to Aldon Auto in Brierly Hill. They're in stock there for £50 and I think Seat charge more than that.

Hope that helps.

BTW how's the car running with Revo now, what peak air mass are you seeing? I got the trial yesterday and only read 154g

hiya mate, nice to hear fro you again, the mafs reading about 165-170 at the mo, i cant remember what a healthy maf reading for a revo car is.

I do know that the trial is supposedly not as strong as the full blown code for REVO though which is why your MAF could not be reading as high as a fully loaded revo car.

The MAF was certainly ok when i logged it those few weeks back.

Do you know if I will see any benefit from a 4 bar FPR on my revod cupra?

4bar FPR is no use unless your revo code uses it.
Stage 2 uses it, stage 1 doesnt. Get Stage 2, and you'll need a 4bar fpr.

I paid £30 for my FPR.... £50 sounds quite steep.....

revo stage 2 , turbo back exhaust and 4 bar fpr should give 230-240bhp. Fmic recommended as well.

I have a 4 bar FPR on my car, I have the 4 bar revo map (stage 1)
I have had some hesitation in the past and still get it now, never resolved the issue so wandering if it has anything to do with 4 bar FPR and 4 bar software? issues...

did you get the 4bar software when Revo offered it as a separate program as stage 1 now is for 3 bar and stage 2 software caters for 4 bar.

I got the 4 bar software well over a year ago now, was just told that I could have the 4 bar software (stage 1) but would just have to get a 4 bar FPR, meant nothing to me at the time other then this would yield a little more torque and bhp?

I was told by one of the lads that they dont really offer the 4 bar much.

*edit * I am considering getting a reflash of the software
(not 4 bar software) and putting the 3 bar FPR back on to see if it sorts the hesitating prob out?? unsure tho

i'd be getting a log of the MAF first mate, sounds like you may have a faulty one(classic symptoms)

alright jason,

did some logs awhile back, managed to get 182 g/s

really weird hesitation up the rev range, seems to hold back , a little lumpy at times?

182G/S EQUATES to about 230 bhp apx - pretty impressive. You have all the stage 2 hardware and your getting stage 2 power at the moment, so is stage 2 revo going to be worth it for you?

230 bhp, is that what it works out to be, not bad then.
the only thing im not happy with is that it can be a bit lumpy up the rev range, could be anything causing this. (vag com does not pick this up tho)

the 182 g/s I got through vag com, unsure how accurate this is?

by the way like your car in blue, nice!

*edit* I really need a fmic, hot weather in the summer, terrible heat soak!
could also do with sps3 to change settings as I have no settings for fuel etc

Cheers for the compliment!

I'm not sure how accurate it is either, but apparently airmass is proportional to bhp. If you multiply it by 1.3 or something like that.

I read it on here once. Take all forum talk with a pinch of salt is the golden rule :D

Oh vag-com is totally accurate at telling you what the sensor is seeing, but how accurate are the sensors is the question?

Some of my logs showed that I had an airflow of about 190G/S.... and on the rollers I got 232bhp.... So not too far off one way or another...

I've heard lots of good things about the FMIC's - so eagerly awaiting my install in t-11 days!!! :D
