350 bhp???

What cost would roughly be involved to acheive 300- 350bhp from my 2002 leon cupra 180 20vt what mods to acheive this power cheers!!!!

mark your about right as thats what it has just cost me to do it. think total bill was about 4500 including engine rebuild which my race engine builder charged me £600 for not inc parts

can break it down if you want leon 180

yea that be good mate not to sure wheather to do it yet its just the car doesnt owe me alot of money just over 2000 grand so dont mind spendin a bit on it but 4500 grand is a bit of a kick in the nuts what sort of cars is yours on par with evos,scoobies?????

Mines at jbs now heading for 330 bhp ish and its close to 6 grand in total but its quite a bit of kit. As for scoobys n that you can av em in the dry but they come into there own in the wet. Check out my spec in the thread . what have you done to your cars ? in the leon mk1 section

then you need to remember suspension brakes and the like.

I still reckon a well sorted R34 will easily outperform a modified Leon hands down even with 350+. Even in the hands of a tard the R34 will do most of the leg work for you. The 4wd moto is just point and shoot. Consider that for 2/3rds of the time the R34 is rwd only then that helps matters furthur. In the hands of someone that can drive, well its a spot on the horizon.

This could end up being a long thread.
We all know that the R34 is a very fast car, we also know that there are some muppets driving them, we also know that it'll probably have about 100 BHP in losses compared to 50 BHP ish losses with the leon. Plus if the R34 is standard it wouldn't be long

Just been reading about how the MK2 Leon Cupra can remap with no mods to 330bhp courtesy of a GIAC hammer remap. £500 vs £5000 is a big difference especially if you are driving a late model Leon MK1 20VT thats worth a bit of money. Might be worth spending that bit more and getting a used MK2 Cupra + remap.

hey all you gotta do is hold on as long as you can and do what you can if its got too much power!! other than that usually there fair game on the twisties open road we dont hold out much hope for the poor leon
