225 bhp isn't much through the front wheels... which these are

I meant the 320bhp the OP is looking at buying, just seems alot to expect a fwd car to put that to the road without serious traction problems! No matter how good the tyres are

youll only eat tyres if you apply more power than the grip/conditions allow, same goes for a stock cupra or lcr.
all map and tyres ect dependent but in 3rd gear you can use a good 80% of the power initally at 4000rpm through to 100% by 5500rpm onwards. theres also a real time map controller that can turn the torque down to a gentle 270lbs/ft for the wet or whenever you dont want a white knuckle ride.

you just get used to it. :D

My previous car was rwd with more than twice the power of my cupra and 400kg's less weight, that had serious traction problems! I've haven't been lucky enough yet to own a fwd car with 300 odd bhp and torques, so can't comment from experience but those front tyres must be a tad overworked even in moderate driving as they have to do the braking, the steering and cope with the power. I'm guessing serious understeer if you are pushing it?! Best i get my Cupra sorted with 300bhp to find out for myself!
