320bhp leon possible

Hi guys

Im anthony im a member on here and currently have a 210bho ibiza cupra. I am hoping to do a deal on wednesday were i swop my ibiza and my mark4 golf gt tdi for an amazing leo cupra r 225 which has had £4750 worth of parts at amd inc con rods pistons forge intercooler, garret turbo injectors clutch revo stage 3 map etc etc ect is running 320bhp ad has that printed on the printout sheet so could be alot of fun!

Just thought id put this post up to pre-warn you i may be getting one wednesday and if i do ill be on here loads as i dont know much!

Well you only start to learn about engines when things go wrong I suppose, and if they do there will be a lot of help on here! Maybe take some of it with a pinch of salt tho.

But good luck with the car! It could never go wrong, fingers crossed!

thanks alot mate glad there are still nice helpfull people on the leon side of the forum - have to say everybody on the ibiza side were so so helful so just hoep leon side matches up - and yeah your right you dont need to know everything about engines to own a fast car all my cars have been fast and when i have a issue i go to a garage or ill have a look online and try it myself.

yeah mate sounds amazing, i hope the deal goes through - its not any one on here its a guy who brought it of his brother and he brought it fro his cousin lol its had 3 owners all in the same family lol. I no he said he has £10,000 worth of recipts for work done and the AMD engine tuning bill came to £4700 so fingers crossed it will be great and reliable.

I am 23 and had 21 cars to date all very fast to name a few -

2 scooby wrx
1 scooby terzo
1 scooby sti (355bhp)
2 fiat coupe 2l 20v turbo - 1 was the LE which had 303bhp
1 corrado vr6 supercharged - very fast
1 astra coupe 2l turbo
1 corsa B with 3l V6
1 saxo vts turbo
1 Ibiza cupra 210bhp

thats of the top of my head and they are hardly slow and yeah i dont no a great deal but im hoping the leon side of this forum is as nice and as helpfull as the ibiza side as then ill have no worries . So i hope you comment was ment as a joke rather than a dig at me for wanting a fast car.

You'll have no worries here mate, there is alot of people with alot of knowledge about alot of things on here, lol

if you've had scoobies you'll be well prepared for anytihng going haha

in all fairness, the only thing tow watch out for is stuff being pushed too hard to the point of failure, but thats a risk with any modified car. if its been done correctly it should be fairly reliable,

does it have any sort of dif to help lay the power down, as a stage one remap can be tricky in the wet, god only knows what 320bhp thorugh the fronts must be like lol

hope you enjoy the car touching wood there fairly bullet proof

just to add your est off buying vagcom, google rosstech. its a laptop based software that allows you to read the ecu for fault codes, and do logs make sure you not running silly temps in the engine etc,

about £150 for a genuine lead and software, there are some very knowladgable people on here, but only a few big turbo guy's

If well mapped 320s ok in a leon. Just give yourself plenty of time to get used to it.
Just remember its FWD and feed the power in rather than demand it.

Mines not getting driven much due to a job change but ran 2 years as a daily driver without problems. different turbo but similar power levels.

lol! I've helped changed spark plugs on a scooby! Easy job you would reckon eh? Just wait until you have to change sidelight/headlight bulbs on a SEAT though!

Are LCR 225's front wheel drive? I own a mark 1 cupra but know nothing about these cars! If they are front wheel drive, thats seems a lot of power for the poor front wheels to cope with, it must go through new tyres each week! Also , how do they handle with all that power?! If they are 4 wheel drive, i will get my coat and shut up!
