It's not just bigger disks, it's different calipers as well. I think under the EU rules, they're not allowed to invalidate your entire warranty, just the parts directly affected by any modifications you've made to the car.

Saying that though, I never had any problems when I had my old Ibiza which was just a littled modded...

The 312 kit is so much better than the standard set up ;)

As mrcoyote said it may/will only affect thoses parts :)

IMO you will be saving them from doing any warrenty work :D

Bare in mind that to upgrade to a 312mm setup you only need the brake caliper carriers and 312 discs obviously:)

Calipers you can use the same ones

Although money wise its defo a better deal by far to buy the whole lot from this chap

you need to change the discs, pads, calipers and maybe the hoses but the hoses should be ok

Calipers from an FR can be used on the 312mm conversion!!! At least they do fine on a few I've seen.....

whats the disc size/pad thickness/hose length on the original setup?get this wrong and warranty won't be your concern, staying out of a headge might be,never enter into changing your brakes lightly,if you don't know, then consider getting someone to do it for you.

I'm sorry if you got offended by that MagicFR i was just feeling a bit mischeivous. no hard feelings. As for me being unhelpful i think you'll find that your incorrect i have this particular braking system fitted, and i was iirc the first member to have this fitted to an Fr. i have over sixteen hundred posts to my name, Most of them Usefull information, some of them entertaining and a select few not usefull in the slightist. i would suggest when you decide to make your snap judgements at people you first take into concidration my loylty to seatcupra.net.
