215/40 17's - Will they fit my Curpa?

Hi folks,

Thinking of getting a little more rubber on the road and also a little more between the alloy and the kerb for when the Mrs is driving!

Will 215/40 17's fit?

We've got a 2007 Ibiza Cupra 160PD running standard set up if this helps...

All advice / experiences welcome!

I'm running 215/40/17 on my Cupra for extra protection and it does help a little. If your mrs hits curbs hard they won't help but brushing past very lightly is ok (depending on curb height and road camber)

I can't tell any difference to the handling or ride quality

Boy up my way used to run this size of tyres on his Cupra with standard set-up with no problems.

Should be fine.
