Does anyone have any suggestions
I bought this vehicle in January 2024, used, with 1856 miles on the clock, now 14,500 miles. A week ago, I was driving along at approx. 30mph (about 3 miles into my journey) and suddenly goes into neutral, I push it back into drive whilst moving, it goes back into neutral, at this point I put on my hazards and try again to put back into drive. I then receive about 3 warnings, all overriding the last so I'm not able to read the last but I recall it displaying something about my 12v battery. I managed to pull over and the only symbol displayed on my dash is the red vehicle outline with the ! in the middle. I managed to restart the car and turn back home where it again started to try and put itself to neutral but I got home without the warning messages occuring.
Cupra, despite taking the car in for a warranty repair in October (I had an engine management light come on (amber) and when I took it to a local garage, they informed me that it related to the hybrid system and they can't repair or diagnose further), Cupra couldn't find said fault and repaired a part which was in recall, and sent me on my way. They are now refusing to review the vehicle as it's now 2 months out of warranty without my payment.
I have since changed some settings on the battery options and drove it 10 miles and no fault but when running my own code checker through it, nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions to my 20k hunk of scrap mental other than to be ripped off by the garage who insist they didn't come across anything in October.
I keep the HV battery charged regularly - incident happened with approx 40% hybrid battery charge remaining
No other battery problems, e.g failed start ups
Major service in December
I think the car was in E-Mode
