Just need to clear up a few things with the 1.2 105ps tsi engine fitted to the ibiza.
The engine sits in the bay,with a slant going left to right,if you are standing infront of the car.
Never seen a engine with a sideways lean like this before.Is this normal?
Also it makes a metallic noise on start up for a second or so before disappearing.
Much more noticeable when cold,but immediatly settles to a smooth idle.
I have heard,it mentions in the manual that the hydraulic tappets can rattle when cold,and it defiantly seems its the case with this engine.
But i have also heard,the 1.2 tsi chain engine,can suffer from chain stretch.
The noise sounds more metallic than tappets,which worries me about the chain being slack.
Was the weak chain still around on the 2015 tsi engine?
