One of the directors at work wanted some minor scratches taking out where he had scratched the paint removing seagull sh*t and to have a good general wash an protection.
When the car arrived it was filthy, didn't look like it had been cleaned since it was picked up, however he does travel a lot so it spends it's time on the motorway collecting endless bugs etc.
A few before's
First off was to cover the car in VP citrus pre wash and was left to dwell for several minutes. It was my first time using it and I was very impressed. The wheels were treated to some Billberry and also left to dwell.
Billberry doing its thing.
I then rinsed the car with the pressure washer and then gave it a good coating of VP snow foam using the Gilmour (need a lance).
Foam dwelling.
Wheels looked much better already and I hadn't even touched them with a brush/mitt.
I then rinsed again with the PW and set about washing it using the usual 2BM with AG shampoo and various wash mitts for different parts of the car. It was rinsed again using just the hose and dried with a Poorboys waffle weave towel.
Looking much better already.
I then clayed the car using a G3 mitt. It was my first time using a clay mitt and was very impressed again. Found it much better than a bar. After this I was getting conscious of time and as the car was much bigger than I realised I didn't take any photos of the corrections and because my iPhone wouldn't pick them up clearly enough.
Anyway I taped the car up on the affected areas and set about machine polishing using CG hex-logic pads and my PC 7424 with Poorboys SSR. Once I had finished machine polishing the defects I set about giving the car a coat of PB Black Hole and then a coat of Nattys Paste wax (pink). The tyres were dressed with Megs endurance gel, windows cleaned, exhaust polished with AG metal polish and the engine bay had a once over with AG engine cleaner, not that it was dirty in the first place as its only done 4k.
Anyway here are the finished pics, though I must add it did look much better in person. Crappy iPhone photos don't do it justice.
The owner was very pleased, and said it didn't look this good when he first bought it. I also got a nice tip for the work too.
Time taken was around 7 hours.
Comments welcome.
