Hello I read that on the updated brochures that the VZ1 now comes with heated steering wheel, I don’t have my formentor yet but I rang the dealership I’m getting it from and the woman said no VZ1 comes with heated steering wheel? Is she clueless or have I read wrong does anyone have a VZ1 with heated steering wheel?
I have a VZ1, made in Oct, delivered in Nov - it has a heated steering wheel.

I've not got mine yet still, but delivery is on Tuesday! What sort of journeys are you doing? Short local town journeys or longer motorway runs? Don't forget the engine is new and will need to be run in, people do mention that after a few thousand miles the MPG should improve also with the weather warming up that should also help. Also if you're using standard E10 rather than E5 then you will get slightly less MPG/tank range sue to the higher ethanol content

hello you must be excited they are a fantastic car! And I do 20 miles a day to work and I literally drive down a straight with traffic lights all the way down but it’s a 60mph road so not quiet motorway miles but I wouldn’t class it as around town but I do a few miles around town, and yeah I have seen that you near to wear the engine in abit I’m only at 700 miles so hopefully will improve soon, just abit of a shock my last car used to get 60MPG this is getting 28 if I’m lucky haha and as for premium fuel I haven’t tried it yet I suppose I should but with how much the prices are increasing lately I haven’t tried it yet but I should will probably do my car abit of good too

Glad to hear that you're enjoying it! I'm very excited, it's been a long wait! Doesn't sound like a bad journey should be getting into the 30s at least but I'm sure after a few more miles things should start to improve. Ah I see why it's a bit of a shock, my current Cooper S gets around mid-late 30s and on a good run can get low to mid 40s, so it won't be as much as a shock for me. Yes fuel prices are a joke and they only seem to be going up! I'm sticking to E10 as well at the moment as premium fuel. But definitely try a tank of premium if you can and see if anything improves. I've seen a recent Volkwizard video on Youtube who has a Mk8 Golf GTI Clubsport and he's been posting frequent posts of him getting late 40s and even breaking the 50 mpg barrier on a run. As the Formentor even though it's slightly taller and a bit less aerodynamic, uses the same EA888 Evo4 engine but in detuned form gives me hope on my 50 mile round commute to work I can get similar results to my current Mini which I would be happy with

Its to be expected; below is a list of my runs with Formentor 245 over the past 5 months, approx 1700m. Avg is about 30.1. This is odometer reading per actual number of L in the tank.

It all depends how you drive. With my Octavoa 1.8 180 manual, i was getting approx 40mpg.

I dont know how that Golf can get almost 50mpg :), wind in the back? I guess i need to learn a lot about eco driving :p

(I tend to write down avg mpg for all of my cars, sometimes to spot if they start to use more fuel for any reason. ;)

Fuel consumption is going to depend on many factors, two of the biggest being driving style and journey distance.

Below is my data from the first 1300miles.

The ~2mile journeys are my wife's commute, averaging 15-24mpg
The ~24mile journeys are my commute (mostly motorway), averaging 30-37mpg

Brilliant! How did you get such a detailed graph? Did you use data from the trip computer / cupra app?

Great 👍

I'm thinking to order one and this is perfect for have an idea about consumption. As I saw in this thread, at the moment the struggle continues to find data online, like reviews, videos and so forth... With that said anyway can help me out by showing the sound of this machine cold (a cold start) and running normally? My point is, I don't want to order something and then regret :) I mean, I don't want a loud car (I have one now, but I desire to change it)

Ah, forgot to mention that I have tried the 150cv version and it was quiet.

Thanks

Are there many people having issues with their Formentors?

I looked at a V1 150 DSG today but am a bit concerned with reliability after reading some posts here.

Most of the issues do seem to be software related. They've made in roads into sorting a lot of that stuff out. Mine doesn't have anything like the issues that some of the owners had a year ago. It's pretty clear that the early adopters were used as beta testers and that has now ironed out a lot of the kinks in the software. That being said it does occasionally have the odd brain fart which usually quickly clears itself. What I would say to anyone with the Formentor is if you can get a decent test drive.

Hi guys, since this engine is the same as the GTI 8, is the sound from the exhaust the same? On cold start and during the driving
Thanks
