Hi there I am on the way to sortong out my 16v running probs and switching off probs!!!

Things I have done.

I have cleaned out the idle stabalisation valve with WD40.

Things to do.

1.) Does any one know where to get and how to change the coolant temperature sensor???

2.) Can any one tell me how to clean the throttle body??

What else could cause my engine to just die outh when I come to a stand still and depress the clutch??

Hi there thanks for the replys,

When the weather is cold, the engine rough idle alot before switching off.

It does jerk when I use throttle.

If I am driving normally and the engine is warmed up, sometimes it just dies when I press the clutch down, when Im slowing down. But it restarts straight away.

My car has a seperate problem of not starting at all after long mileage driving (more than 2 hours). After I switch the engine off, its completely dead, I have to leave it for 1-3 hrs before being able to switch it on again. This is not the battery, but either alternator or stater moter??

What sort of state are the plugs in? Do they show any signs of running either rich or lean, which might suggest that cold start enrichment isn't working correctly? If so, then i'd be looking at the engine temp sensor, and if that's all peachy then any auxiliary air valves or whatever...
