110tdi Leon SE remap

I've been looking at getting a 110 with the intention of remapping it as I can't afford a 130 yet. I've test driven both a 110 and 130 and can feel quite a difference in acceleration. The 130 seemed to fly once it hit 2000rpm where as the 110 just slowly accelerates with no obvious "boost" to speed.

Would a remap give similar power to a 130 TDi? or are there other differences to the 2 engines aside from differently mapped ecu's such as different turbo's etc?

Cheers

I had mine remapped at Jabba about 4 years ago. Now done another 70K miles and still on original clutch.

Jabba print-out somehow managed to show that I've got 162bhp. I know rolling roads vary immensely and don't want to start arguments. Smokes a bit on full throttle, but you have to put up with that. :)

Feels great and a lot better than standard, i've never looked back. All I know is that I would recommend a remap to anyone with a 110 leon.

I've had mine done for a while now and would also recommend it to anyone.

You will easily notice the power increase and it makes it fun when you have a "bad-boy" trying to race you thinking he'll beat you and you put your foot down and put them to shame :p I've done this many a time around my local area :D

did you change anything on the car or are you running it standard mapped?

The only other performance modification was a SEAT Sport Exhaust bought from the dealers. It was fon the car when Jabba did a custom remap, but the technician did say that my Leon was "breathing very well".

My induction kit keeps coming on and off... not sure if I like the extra noise. makes the diesel lump sound like it's blowing badly. :)

The only other thing was upgrading the brakes to black diamond vented discs and matching pads. Thought that with the extra power I should also be able to stop it.

Nomis, do you have any pics of your car? I did a search but couldn't see any. I notice you've nice alloys on it and possibly a new front bumper? Considering changing the front bumper on mine at the minute, but got a quote for over £500 for the LCR bumper and foglights before spraying.....

I was the same but once it's done you won't regret it. It gives it so much more torque. You will eventually get used to it but like i've said earlier, with a custom code remap you can switch between standard and remapped with vag com to remind you of the difference when the novelty wears off :D

What sort of MPG figures are you getting now Matt? Better worse or the same?

Not sure how to upload pictures sorry. Haven't posted enough to let me attach a file.

I've got the 17" S3 alloys and the MS Designs full skirt kit (as bought from SEAT in their accessories catalogue). TBH, I'm looking for an original Cupra or R bumper kit on Ebay. I've had this kit on for a few years and getting bored. Looks very OEM at the moment but need to colour code a bit more.
