Just a useless but very positive post to say my FR TDI car just turned 10000 miles old, bought it in Nov with 5000 on it so thats 5000 happy and fun miles of motoring for me.
I seam to be an expeption to many of the Leon issues:
but i have had the wet windows problem but that seams to have been fixed by a technical fix.
If your thinking of buying one and are worried by all the problems that people list here, i wouldnt worry too much and bear in mind that forums are generally a place where people discuss and look for solutions to problems. This is quite normal.
Lets have a positive forum subsection for the praise that is deserved.
As a treat, i spent 4 hours cleaning the car on Sunday - it was a nice day
Most of that was applying and removing the yellow Supagard paint seal cream.
What an amazing diffirence, the car was shinier than i had even seen it. Even the evening and morning Dew on the roof of the car forms little droplets. The dew was even enough to was some fresh road dirt of the car! Brilaint!
I would say that removing the cream and buffing up after was a huge job. Allot of work, sweat and sore arms.
Will probably do it again towards the start of the sunny dry summer months to get things looking good.

- No issues with DPF - not even a light on!
- Nothing Squeeks
- Nothing Rattles
- Nothing has fallen off
- No odd noises or smells
- No leaking fluids
- It still starts
- The windows havent gone down in the middle of the night
but i have had the wet windows problem but that seams to have been fixed by a technical fix.
