re the limp mode, get the code read and let us know. Probably a small boost leak somewhere, as it wont be sticky vanes as the turbo on the 90bhp in the mk3 is a fixed vane one.

Depends what engine it is bud, the 110 has a vnt, the AGR and AHU have a wastegate, the ALH if it's in the Mk3 is a vnt also.:)

(in Dalek-y voice) Explain. Explain! :p I'm a dunce when it comes to diesels too  What Seatmann said is, I presume, what other people are like when I start talking about engines and bhp... :p

Well on my turbo when the it reaches maximum boost the ecu sends a signal to the N75 which then allows pressure to open the waste gate to prevent excessive boost but on the vnt type the turbo just spins and the ecu sends signal to open the N75 to allow vacuum to alter the vanes to increase boost.

Wastegate

Not the best wastegate one but it was all I could find.:)

Most of the tdi's are vnt, I think it's because of the way the diesel engine uses the higher combustion pressures to burn the fuel so by increasing it early you can throw in more fuel for better low down power.:)

99-2002, I reckon the AGR was the last of the wastegate turbos then everything else was vnt, I don't think the AHU was used after 98/99:)

interesting stuff lads... regarding the springs, if apex are too harsh, what brand isnt?

Now there's a question, I like mine but don't know what they do for the ibiza, they're a swedish brand and the name's in my sig but probably best to trawl through some of the other threads and ask people what they've fitted, you could ask Damian on here, I think it's DPM Performance, he might be able to give more info. One of the things that can make a difference is wether the springs are progressive or linear, if they're progressive they get harder the further they're pushed and linear are the same stiffness all the way so might be best with progressive ones if you just want lowering springs.:)

Was looking at some H&R springs as i can get the cheap through work. I hear they are pretty good, that said I didint see any mention of them being progressive or linear, But im sure they will do the job what you reckon ? :D

Ask them if they're proggressive or not, if you google them you should find the company who make them and if the info isn't on their site then find a contact section and email them. I just find the proggressive ones give a bit more comfort for me. I haven't had any experience of the H&R springs so couldn't really comment on them.:)

Also wrapped my roof...YAY

Seen a leon with the wrap straight lining from the roof to the spoiler and TBH it just looks strange...so i decided id follow the curve, if needs be i could straight line it if i didn't like it...turns out I LIKE IT :D

Also had a go at tinting windows, ITS A TOTAL DARK ART, i can do the sides easily now, but my goodness the rear is hard to get good with out getting creases in the "fingers" when heat shrinking ..ANY ADVICE ON THIS WOULD BE GOOD

Also went for SPAX lowering springs. 30mm drop and the ride is perfect, not too harsh at all...Being harsh was a major concern for me which put me off the Apex Springs

Andi i put some laminex on the front and rear lights, love the rear ones, unsure about the front, it makes my lights go yellow again :(

Can't believe no one has commented on this yet! Looks amazing Davy!

Putting me to shame!

Haha, Mark, at least you have the excuse of having a new car! Mine's barely changed, other than a few problems here and there :( Davy, you've done everyone proud, let alone yourself, and I'm sorry for not commenting earlier! Looks absolutely mint now! (oh, and where'd you get the Hoonigan sticker? WANT! :p)

 Keep it up!

Edit: You didn't mention the cupra headlights! Where'd they come from!?

Cheers Buddy, Ahh yes the curpa headlights, A random one TBH, I really didnt want to go down the cupra wanna-be route.

I had set out to paint the insides of my original lights black, to cut a long story short the oven, (Used to soften glue and thus split the lights) was left unattended for a considerable amount of time.:doh::whistle:

A quick ebay and just as my luck would have it some cupra lights from a cordoba, I placed a offer on them, somthing like 75-80 quid for both and next thing they they where on my kitchen table. YAY, i then sold the remaining, non melted light on ebay for about £35, Quite happy. And the cupra lights do look sweet, really compliments the whole monochrome look im going for.

Next up is to fix that bloody turbo problem and im getting really tempted with the idea of a remap.

Would also like to try a set of super wide euro style wheels on her, Starmags or ATS cups could be cool. Somtimes i feel the Azevs are too boring. I could be deluded however.

But then if i go euro it would need to be lower, and that would just suck. Low and slow is way to boring. so i suppose on that note the Azev's have a nice rally look to them, which i do like !

PS the hoonigan sticker I designed and had printed myself, purely because i couldn't find one on ebay that looked exactly how the ones on blocks fiesta do.
Turns out they are now all over ebay for a few quid ! lol
