1.6 8v swap

good day,

my 1.3 engine is not running good since a while, like a loss of power in the engine.

i found the 1.6 8v mono-point injection engine , the guy who has the engine (used stuff dealer) told me the 1.6 will be a straight swap. same mountings and everything . but i will need a fuel pump. as my carburettor engine not running on an electric fuel pump. but an overhead mechanical pump.

is it true that it will be a straight swap ?

what changes i should make to my suspension / brakes / cooling ?

Surely it would be cheaper to just buy a 1.4 or 1.6. Unless your doing it yourself.
Also i think it will be a straight swop.

the 1.6 that 'fits' is so **** it's not worth it.

75bhp from a 1.6, or just get a polo gt 1.3 that does.... 75bhp

we dont have bigger than the 1.3 ibiza here in egypt. only 1.0 and 1.3 because of some bureaucracy maniacs .

polos are only 1.0s

i dont think i will make the swap thing anyway. i am not sure of the outcomes.

haha , the stolen rear relflector . i got a new one but i forgot to update it here.
it really pissed me off when that happened.

the 1.3 is a 55 Bhp . i think 75 is not bad !
