Just started to wonder about the SPS boost gauge and people who say that it shows too much boost (2bars at revs and 1bar at idle). What is the maximum stock combined boost of the 1.4TSI 180hp in stock form? I have found different specs from anything from 1.4bar to 2.5bar as stock.
What I have found so far:
From wiki: "This is for the 125kw variant but should be at least the same for 132kw variants: "At engine speeds just above idle, the belt-driven supercharger provides a boost pressure of 1.2 bars (17.4 psi)." "2.5 bars (36.3 psi) pressure at 1,500 rpm"
This is from a TSI twincharged article I found: "Key to the TSI's success is that direct-injection allows an abnormally high compression ratio of 10:1 to be used in conjunction with high maximum boost pressure of up to 2.5 bar"
Another page that reviews Golf GT with 170hp 1.4TSI: "Boost can go as high as 2.5 bar at 1,500rpm."
Pistonheads review of pre FL Cupra: "...maximum power is now available at 6200rpm instead of 6000rpm, and turbo pressure boosted from 2,000 to 2,150mb (2.15bars)."
Then there is this document that explains the twincharge quite nicely: When both chargers are used at low and mid-revs: "The throttle valve is completely open. A pressure of up
to 2.5 bar (absolute) is built up in the intake manifold." And when just the turbo is activated it says: "The throttle valve is completely open. A pressure of up
to 2.0 bar (absolute) is built up in the intake manifold." The page 31 is especially interresting as it has maximum boost pressure graph that shows almost 2.5bars at low revs and 1.8bars to almost 5500rpm and lowering from there to a max revs but still having 1.5bars of boost.

Lookin up videos with aftermarket boost gauges and they tend to show 1.4-1.5bar constant boost but almost every official looking document says the supercharger is giving alone 1.8bars and with turbo it gives out 2.5bars of maximum boost pressure. It seems very high, but then again the engine is small and still makes up almost 200hp and quite a bit of torque at the low revs. Is there that much wrong information or am I missing something? Is there difference where aftermarket boost gauges and the cars own system pick up the boost data or something similar? Feels weird that Seat would have that harsh bug get to the SPS boost gauge+all the documents and webpages saying the maximum is really 2bars or over...
