any good tuner should take time to perfect the map, from what I understand from spending hours of researching is that there are many aspects that can affect the final figures and true on road performance and smoke test's.

Mine used an entire tank of diesel testing my various maps before sticking with what I have now.:whistle: Oh well, I wasn't too fussed as I got a good, consistent, reliable, economical map out of it.

It will have had by January. ;) When I got in it had a full tank, but Lloyd said he'd filled up down the local shell, and I'd dropped it off full too. :D

My car was also spotted on Briskoda in another town from Allards so I think Lloyd took her home for some extra testing.... [B)]

Would you say in your eyes, that a VT5 turbo with injectors, full exhaust and FMIC would see 260bhp like Allards say they can get?

I think the VT5 with bigger injectors on straight diesel should get 250-260 at least judging by what others have achieved.

Thats the idea, then add LPG and NOS to hit the magic 300bhp mark and thats it, im then done :)

What your first reply a question or??

Yep. :) I've been told I should see 270bhp on diesel alone when I get the injectors done. At the moment they limit me to around 230bhp (guessing). Propane sees me to around 240/245 (i think) and only with NOS do I see 260 as I've done on a dyno.

What I'm hoping is that performance is so good without propane that I'll remove the kit and save some serious weight. But that's going to be down to testing, and I'll be asking Lloyd to see what effect the kit has. If I do see good gains with it AND uprated injectors, it will be staying.

If you get a good propane kit like i have you will not need uprated injectors as the kit has unlimited fueling unlike injectors.

So on standard injectors I would be limited to 230bhp with a VT5, but with the use of a good propane kit like yours, and nitrous I could get a extra 70bhp+ ? My target is a shade over 300bhp and 400lb/ft and then im done! What stops somebody getting 230bhp from a turbo etc and fueling huge amounts to get a extra 100bhp from just propane? There must be a limit on power in can produce? What is it!

270bhp on diesel alone, impressive figure, id like to have the same set up please :) Then add the propane and nitrous on top for me, 350bhp sounds interesting (yes I know I just said id be happy with 300bhp!)

How heavy are the propane kits? Surely worth a little weight for circa 40bhp!

I got 238bhp with just diesel and 278bhp with diesel propane with my VT5 while running a safe map on my car so you could probably get a little bit more out of it but don`t forget the great dyno lottery. A VT5 will not force enough air into the engine to produce 300bhp which is why NOS is needed for those last few bhp to reach the magic 300 bhp figure. The trouble is with single turbo engines the bigger the turbo you add the more lag you get. A turbo that would easily produce 300 bhp would not make a very good road car when fitted to a 1.9/2.0 PD engine.

So with a normal map, I should see 250bhp from a VT5 without uprated injectors? Then if I run a propane kit, I should see 280bhp and then with abit of NOS run circa 300bhp? When can I book it in for the lot? :D

260 with uprated injectors I reckon - If a really good tune. A safe 250 though. I've been told 270, but I also have a different cam fitted, and the head and manifold going on is ported and tweaked.
