Hi all,

I have a 2011 Ibiza ST, 1.2TDI Ecomotive, and for some time I have the following fault engine code:

P0405 Exhaust Gas Recirc. Sensor-G98- (A) Circ Low Input

Did anyone had this problem before and how can I fix it? Which part do I need to change?

Thanks in advance,
Costi

Hey, first you check the connector on the egr cooler. White grey connector. If it s stuck then go to the dealer for an software update. If the software is up to date already then replace the egr cooler. It's about 4 hours work. Dismounting the dpf, right drive shaft than you can reach for the cooler. Always mount new gasket and clamps! They are leaking with old ones! Hope I could help you

My son's Ibiza got this problem a year ago, its not under warrenty, and here in Norway the fix is 1000£. He has not fixed the problem and got loss of power with revs under 2000.
On saturday I ordered a refurbished egr cooler part:03P131512C on ebay for 200, gonna arrive on thursday. the plan is to put it in this weekend.

And when you mounting the new one, you have to adept it to the ecu for the new offset value of the g504 differential sensor. Otherwise it will give error again

Did you guys manage to fix this? I've had the exhaust gas temperature sensor replaced recently and then around 100 miles later I got the p0405 code. I've cleared it but seems to come back after two trips.
