07 ibiza FR 130

Heys,

I was looking to buy a new ibiza SC ... but with some issues withthe finance, and considering what else was available that I could afford the ibiza FR 1.9 TDi looks great.

It's an 57 plate with 21k on the clock, 1.9 tdi 130 bhp 6 speed blah blah, I'm sure you know the spec! Was just wondering if there's anything I should be looking out for I've driven the car and it seems ok, but are there any recalls or anything that i should check have been done, anny specific problems I should look out for etc.

Buy it, you wont regret it. Looks better than those new fangled mk5's anyway. Theres threads here on stuff to look out for, just general Ibiza shoddyness, knocking suspension, condensation in lights, nothing to serious.

Well I've bought the car!! Picking it up in about an hour and a half, they gave me 7 days free insurance on it... Which I'd expect tbh I think I got a good price at just over 9k it's a very tidy example and was advertised at 10...

Was he maybe selling a tdi fr?

I needed to go via the dealer cos of finance, and it's not modded so insurance isn't a problem, etc.

No, we both bought 57 plate FR TDI's with <10,000 miles back in December for about the same money.

Hmm i got mine for 9800 with 9k on the clock and its a 57. Coulda got an 08 with 8k on for the same price but i wanted white haha

Think i paid maybe slighty too much or about right?

Youl have a fun drive home, i was buzzing when i picked mine up!

git te car and very happy with it, but haven't driven it much (yet!).

couple of bad points I've notice, they parked the car so that you couldn't see the passenger side, as such I've only seen it once getting the car home, and there's a scuff/scratch on the rear quarter and the wing mirror is scuffed and damaged. I've phoned the garage straight away and they'll have a look, but "i need to remember that its not a brand new car and will have wear marks..." this isn't wear marks!! but what i do remember is them giving it a clean and valet, I can't believe they missed it, so it must have been parked like that on purpose.

so yeah its a lovely car, but shame about those little points, hopefully the garage will be ok about it... I paid the 120 for a years tax but the car had a month or so left on it, and instead of 'losing that' theyve given me the 120 back so that seemed like a decent thing to do. final cost with part ex etc came in at 6,7 including the GAP insurance stuff. so not bad me thinks.
