05 FR 130tdi. Brake Squeal ?

Hi,

Only had my car for a few weeks now but have noticed the brakes squealing a bit.

But today when cleaning noticed a lot of brake dust built up on the drivers side rear wheel, could this idicate a problem with the brakes ?

I have read a few threads about the rear brakes becoming rusty but not sure, the car has done 34k now and has FSH

Is the caliper siezed on? That could be the cause of the excess brake dust.

my sport squeels at times and not others does my head in lol

its common for the small plates which the brake pads on the rear slide on to corrode up on the rears (as they get all the salt and rubbish thrown against them from the front wheels) when this happens the pads dont slide easily meaning a little binding, this could be what you have experienced. i would pop the wheel off and open the caliper up take the pads out and check.
