03 210 lcr "how to disable the alarm"

Can anyone tell me how to disable the alarm please.

my alarm has been playing up and going off all the time, so ive had to leave my car unlocked. I go to my car this morning, to find some little chav has had a good look round inside.

please can someone tell me how to lock the car without the alarm

holy crap! if i was you i'd be looking to get the problem sorted rather than leaving the car locked without an alarm. i don't know if there is a way to disable the alarm though.

Mate, i doubt anyone will tell you how to disable the alarm over a public forum, but my suggestion is get it to a dealer and fast and get it repaired whatever the cost... no point disabling it, its there for a point... to keep the twocers chav's hands off it....

If it's the ultrasonics causing the problem you can disable them by pressing the button on the base of the B pilar before locking the car, (needs to be done each time), but I would still get it fixed long term.

I know VAG-COM can disable the interior sensors, so this could be an option if you know somebody with it?

To disable the alarm what u need to do is double press the lock button on the key fob, this also de-activates dead locks but still locks the car, seat dont like to tell u this. (you will hear a diffrent sound when locking the car cause the dead locks dont kick in) try it

just tried this, and the led still fashes in the door card, so i assume the alarm is still armed

press the lock button a few times, try and press it about 5 times in 3 seconds (thats how fast) the indicators wil flash but car wont alarm, red led shouldnt flash thoe.

And i suggest that anyone else doesnt name and shame anything more about the alarm system, as i know you all want to help, but in-advertly you might give a theif an insight to the VAG alarm...

So suggest just take the car to the dealer and quickly!

how is someone telling me how not to set the alarm naming and shaming info about the alarm system....no one is telling me how to disable an alarmed vag car.

agreed, getting to a dealer is the best option, but payday is a week away and money is tight after xmas.

Sorry but I disagree, my boot was playing up once when I got water in the mech, I needed to disable to alarm cause it kept thinking some1 was opening my boot due to a faulty sensor.
But disabling the internal sensors in the car the rest of them will still work, so the alarm will go off for his car.

Can any one else try what I'm suggesting? Because it works on both my car but they are early models.
Sit in the car and lock your self in as normal;
Try to get out and you can’t.
Now unlock the car open door.
Shut door, press the lock button on key fob lots of times in quick succession;
Then try and open door, hey presto u should be out!

BTW if I remember correctly 2 presses on locking the car doesn't disable the alarm, it deactivates the deadlocks.... or am I wrong....?

That was more aimed at the poster who was telling us off for posting such information, but in any case, Ruddmeister is the man to listen to here when he says read the manual! There is a fair bit of information there about the alarm and it's various options.

Plus, as I mentioned above, there is the VAG-COM option as this let's you disable the interior sensors, so try searching for that in this forum and the dedicated VAG-COM forum.

Then there is the information already posted in this thread in answer to your question. The best bit of advice being the switch that is located next to the drivers seat, near the floor. Push this and the sensors are disabled.

Plenty of info there, just a case of searching, reading and experimenting until you find your ideal solution.
