Hi Everyone, A few months back I started hearing a severe windnoise above 40 mph on the drivers side window of my Altea (I could have sworn it wasn't present when I bought the car). Anyway I took it to the dealer who confirmed what I was hearing and said they would replace the door seal...

Does the mk1 suffer from excessive wind noise on the near side of the car? Could it just be mine? Seems like its around the A pillar area. Is it a case of a new door seal?

Ibiza FR Tdi 130 (Pre Facelift) Loving the car, but hating the wind noise at any speed over 40 mph, looks like its a dealer problem, but from searching not sure its curable.

Its when ever i get to about 60mph you can start to here it and when i get to 80 and above its horrible i assume its a wind noise as it makes a whistling sound and also seems to come from air vents that heat the windscreen and ideas how i may be able to fix this or what could be causing it...

Hi all, Get severe wind noise when doing about 40 to 80mph. Its not the turbo as its still there when i put the clutch in and coast! Sounds like its coming from the from left of the front bumper. Only just got the car yesterday (LCR 2003). Anybody got any ideas what could be causing it...
