Do Seat do their own range of lowering springs for the mk2 leon cupra?

Yes I've searched, lots. :p I've advertised for some standard springs but if that doesn't come off due to prohibitive postage costs I will look into getting some mild lowering springs. I'm not 100% on what springs are on my car, it used to be owned by ScottyP's missus and he bought if off...

fitted my new rear dampers and the rear coil springs (h&r -20mm) to my ibiza ('97 gti 16v). all seemed to go well untill i noticed a knocking coming from the rear right shock. had a look and to my horror..this crazy s**t was happening! :-o:wtf:the left damper is fine and behaves as it should...

the coil springs that i bought from gaybay arrived yesterday. looked on the box and they are listed for mk2/mk3 '95-'02 1.4/1.6/1.8. that seems a very broad range of car weights as the only 1.8 mk3 that I can think of is the 20vt and that is significantly heavier than a mk2 1.4 and certainly...

Anyone have any feedback on which springs are the best to fit to the Cupra R? Im looking at lowering my car around 30/40mm on the standard shocks so looking for a good set of springs!

hi done a quick search but couldnt find anything,,, will 1.8t lowering springs fit on a tdi also the springs say 40mm, will this still be the same thanks

i realise coilovers would be a better choice, but are they that much better to warrant the extra money? dont wanna drop my LCR to much but wanna sort the handling!!

If i was to put lowering springs that fit on a diesel car onto a petrol car, Would there be any differences? Would it not lower as much on the front as i know that diesels are slightly heavier, or would it effect the handling? Also do they use the same type of suspension on the front...

hey, i am finnally getin round to lowering my mk4 1.4 16v, and i was thinkin of maybe dropping her by 50mm, but ive been told if your drop by anymore that 40 then you will need to change the shocks, is there any truth in this?? and how good to do you think it wud look if it was droped 35mm...

just a quick question about suspension.... i run a completley standard ovni cupra R and recently had alot of ride problems, so thinking towards springs and shocks, how long roughly is the life of both?

I remeber years ago am sure I read something that if you fit aftermarket lowering springs to standard shocks, you are going to ruin your suspension is some way. Is this true?

Will mk3 cupra coil springs fit my mk2?
