speakers

Because I really don't think they are now, they just need a better signal... Only recently have I realised how good my "system" sounds now, and the "system" comprises nothing more than a new HU :lol: Those standard midbass's can produce plenty of bass too, almost like there's a sub in there :D

I only have the front speakers on the dash in my car, and i want to know if its possible to buy door cards with the holes, and if all the cars have the space in the door to fit them.

OK the door cards are off and the originals have been de riveted etc. I am in the process of fitting some MDF rings using putty onto the door cards so i can mount my speakers and seal around so no gaps between it and the door. But i need some help with the wires. I have components...

Normally I'd have gutted the whole old system out and run all the cables for a full install by now, but money and time is tight. Changing the HU has made a hell of a difference to the sound in my LCR, and tbh the fronts don't sound all that shabby. I've got a spare set of pretty decent...

wot size are the front door speaker's and can you get adapters to get them to fit?

As above really, i changed my speakers as per the forum thread, brilliant sound, but now i get water on the black plastic sill cover which eventually:confused: runs onto the carpet. Anyone else? I have noticed a rain gutter affair on the OEM speakers, i presume this stops the water. Dave

i Have a Mk2 1.4 SXE and it has 2 tweeters mounted in the dash and 2 mids mounted in the doors but i can't find the crossovers never actualy striped the doors to see if they are on the speakers. Its just killing me cos some :censored: idiot has butchered the wiring while fitting an aftermarket...

Right then, I measured the rear speakers yesterday and they seem to be 6 x 4, is this right? Can anyone recommend some decent speakers to put in place of tha standards, for a bit of bass as i want to remove my sub and amp. I have Apline S type in the front i think. Thanks Matt

Hey dudes, The standard system is pretty crap, but I don't want to lose the cd changer. I've already got a two channel amp as I used to run a sub off it (don't want to take up the boot space with a sub anymore!) so if I replaced all the standard speakers with good ones and ran the fronts...
