Just wondering guys, is there anything stopping me from cutting 1 - 2" off my gearstick, then re-threading it with a thread cutter?... I just find it a bit tall that's all...it's just an aesthetic preference :p *I have done a little search, nothing came up under Mk2 etc* :)

Ok, which is better ? 1.9 diesel engine, great for mpg, but slow to 0-60 OR the 2.0 diesel and be a bit quicker. I hear the 1.9 diesel has a more robust engine and is proven. the 2.0 has more issues with the turbo and costs when fails !! Is this true ?:D
