I've been having a problem with the rear axle not working for a few weeks now. OBDEleven says mechanical damage number C111307. The mechanic changed the oil and cleaned the pump and the filter. He lifted the car, checked if the 4 wheels were spinning and returned it to me ready for use...

WAS WORRIED THAT ENGINE MIGHT BE ABUSED BUT WAS ASTONISHED WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL GARAGE
THEY CLAIMED IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST STANDARD...
Hi,
I've got a 2003 20v 1.8t Cupra and need a new cam belt. Only got 48000 on the clock but it's never had it done. I've been quoted £310 + vat from a non Seat Dealer. Is this fair?
Also my management light came on and Seat said it the secondary air injection has an incorrect flow and it...

Having searched the forum, i can find several references to a secondary air injector but none to a secondary air pump, are they the same thing?
i keep getting a engine managment light coming on, and a diagnostic check came up with the secondary air pump, the car still ran fine.

Hey just a quick question, how much should it be for a timing belt and water pump change from a main Seat dealer? Whats the going rate? 05 Leon FR at 57k miles, so time for change!
Can anyone tell me how much a new water pump is as mine seems to be leeking and are they fairly easy to fit or would it be better to get a garage to fit it . Again how much is a garage likely to charge.
Right there are many threads on this but there is nothing set on stone how to do this properly keeping the fuel gauge reading correctly (at least in the same thread anyway), so I thought I would write one for you all.
Now first thing you need to do is get your hands on an LCR/TT/S3 fuel pump...
I changed my cambelt and water pump on my lcr at the weekend. Had a rite nightmare. Started it up after doing job and got a misfire. Almost shat myself thinking i had bent valves but turned out to be a dodgy coil pack so i replaced all 4 and all was well. Then i noticed that the secondary water...
Got my LCR225 booked in for a cambelt and water pump change this weekend, although it's less than the recommended 60k miles (44k) it is over the recommended four years old. At least, I can't see anything in the service logbook that says it's been changed and I don't want to risk it breaking...
Noticed other day that when I turned the engine off, the water pump was working away like usual. It was changed dure the cambelt change.......
Could it be an issue related to the sensors that I apparently need to change
Hey, wanting to get a Leon Cupra R fuel pump, so googled it as you do, and came up with this, far cheaper then eurocarparts.
just wanted to make sure it was correct
Cheers
Matt
Just been quoted £450 for replacement and fitting of the water pump and cambelt on my LCR by my local JCT600 Seat dealership.
If I want a oil & filter change too they want £100 on top! :wtf:
Just checked on e-bay and it seems that cambelt kits are £120ish and water pumps anything from...
