My 1.4 petrol Ibiza idles at less than 700 revs is this normal? Sometimes when I start it up the engine is very lumpy and shakes like anything until it warms up a bit. I can't help thinking that the idle speed is too low? Is the idle easy to adjust?

I happened to notice in the tech specs of the Ibiza sport on the Seat web site, that the 1.4 16 valve petrol engine has been uprated to 85 bhp. I didnt even know VAG had a 85 bhp 1.4 engine. I have the 75 bhp engine which after 4 k is loosening up well and dare I say it, even feels perky now...

I think i have a petrol leak on my car 1999 2.0 8v cupra sport, I keep getting wafts of petrol from the car every now and then im sure this isnt normal and i was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem ? Whats the most likely cause for it, a little split in the hose ? Cheers
