hi guys just wondering if the cuppra r are bad for going through engine oil.Got it serviced about 4000 miles ago driving home from work oil light came on stopped and there wasnt a drop of oil on the dip stick???

Hi does anybody know of the best location to fit an oil temp gauge sender in the pipework???? :confused: going to use an electric oil temp guage, would just be handy to know when the oild is up to temp so i can look after my turbo better!

When would people recommend having the 1st oil change from new and am I right to assume this can be done anywhere it, doesn't have to be at the dealers?!

What oil do you guys use in your mk3 ibiza cupra's. 1.8t ayp. I work at vauxhall and we do super synthetic 5w30. Is that good enough? and how much does the ibiza take?

Hi all How often do you have to top up your oil in your lcr? Do these car's use much oil? never had a turboed car before. when i do check it most of the time i have had to top it up. Cheers :)

Anyone know the oil feed thread size for Garrett turbos? Mine is this: Hoping one side is -4AN. Could the other be 1/8"NPT (the side that screws into the turbo itself)?

I got the 1.6 tdi, and i was washing it the other day when i woke up and decided to check the oil, its getting really close to the minimum line.... i only had it for a month and half.. is this normal?? 1800 miles on it.. should i just top it up?? If so, does any body know what oil to put...

does anyone know how to turn the word oil off that comes on when your car is due a oil change? without using vagcom...just the same way you turn the service message off i guess but ive forgotten how too lol :(

Not the usual "which one do i get" or "where do i plumb it in" Which is better, a recirculating one, where it is plumbed back into the intake, or vent to atmosphere? I always thought that a recirc version would be better, but the guy who supplies the majority of my parts says that a vta...

As title says whats oil do you guys think is the best quality, I change my oil every six months or less, the Castrol works out at about £50 every change and the Fuchs is £30.00 or there abouts inc VAT?? I change it often but cant decide what is best to look after my engine??:confused:
