Hey, I have been offered a KO3s, only problem is the owner says it started making a howling noise on boost? He said there's little play in the shaft and it didn't smoke, can be refurbed. Any clues as to what might cause this noise? And whether it can be fixed Cheers Dan

as above really fitted ko3s upgrade couple of weeks ago and wishing i had gone bigger :cry: basically just wondered what surrounding parts i would need to upgrade it to gt2x from ko3s etc. thanks

Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone has had a simular problem or can explain what is happenning? Well.... i just upgraded my turbo to a ko3s from ko3 i have NOT yet had it re-mapped, the turbo was brand new etc. so no play in shafts or anything like that. Basically when i hit peak boost...

right i got it today, only thing is does this look different? the blades yes there are 8, but the ones ive seen are not 'swooped but straigh looking blades usually, just want to check these are all fine??

Reet then people, I hope someone can help a fellow SCN member out. This is from 20vtwy's Ibiza Cupra - met up with her today as she can't get VAG-COM to work on her laptop. She has had a ko3s turbo put on, decat, n75j & recirc valve - custom remapped. Rolling road showed 225BHP (approx)...

Would this be a good performance and straight forward upgrade for the standard KO3 on the 1.8T Alhambra? any issues with this swap known? all replies appreciated.

right im trying to weigh up the differences. all i need now are: ko3s route ko3s, tip, map, 4bfpr or ko3 hybrid ko3hybrid, tip, 3'' maf, 4bfpr, injectors and map is it worth the extra wait and extra cash to go for the ihi, also will i need to change my clutch etc... will it be v noticable...

installed my KO3s the other weekend and having problems boosting over 14psi I remapped again with a revo and still only boosting 14psi ??? the only way i had it boosting more is with the actuator wound all the way up (which i only done to test it then wound back to middle) any ideas i have...
