knocking

hey guys, i have this sound in my car since i buy it (about 7 months) and the idiots in service center was not able to fix it or even know where it come from, so i started now to find it by myself, so i need some help with it. this noise come from the front of the car as some thing is shaking...

ive done a search didnt really find much sooooo the steering feels like it is catching maybe a quarter of turn either way it locked up on a roundabout last night and had to tug it free which was fun. any ideas??????
