intake

Just wondering if it's worth blocking off the engine bay side of the standard air intake as it gets unbelievably hot in there! Has anyone done this and is there a downside, it might make it a bit like a (very) budget Dbilas!!

Ummm all the Beefa boys seem to be fitting PD160 intakes to their PD130's..Can this be done to a Leon PD150 or are they the same? :shrug:

Im after a pd 160 intake ,and thought they were only about 35 quid but it seems to be way more than that .Can these be bought from any pattern part suppliers? as i cant justify £70 odd.

Just a quick heads up and mega thanks to our very own DPJ for diagnosing this purely from looking at VAG-COM logs. A 2 inch split on the right hand side centre breather hose on the bottom of the intake manifold. Christ knows how much power this was robbing from me. Down to the stealers tomorrow...
