ignition

where is the best place to take an Ignition live? I need a fairly decent one as i will be drawing a fair few amps. Is the ciggy socket in the boot switched by the ignition? and is it strong enough to handle the power of a compressor? wheers, any help is much appretiated.

Basically theres quite an off putting noise every morning when i start the engine. sometimes it will happen aswell if its quite cold. any ideas what it could be ?

Hi Guys, One of my coil packs went on my leon which is not under warranty the AA changed it and charged me £40, He said this is a common problem on VAG cars and if there is a recall the others should be replaced for free. Is this the case???

i did a search and didnt really find much, but way back in 2004 'sooty-torques' posted about a swooshing noise when the key is turned, stated as fuel being pumped by an electric pump....? is this normal? the noise sounds like when you have water in your foot and it squelches

Or do I need to connect to theyellow 75x screw on the power block underneath the dash? I need a 12v feed for the oil temp sender, will I need a separate inline fuse? Thanks Dom.
