Drops to 500rpm when put clutch in, had diagnostic check done by Seat found coolant temperature sensor faulty. But no difference when changed. Check done again no problems found. Any ideas people?? Thanks :think:

whats the craic lads on my mk2 1.6 when idleing the car sometimes rev to about 1150rpm and then falls back to 850rpm but then sometimes it idles okay the problem started back in dec when it was very cold but the other way round i.e the revs where dropping now she has 83k Miles on her any...

When my car is just iddling i can hear my standard DV dumping on idle (i think) its a kind of whooshing noise.:confused: :confused: :confused: Is that normal?:shrug: The DV seems to be a lot louder than normal aswell, car has done 46K:)

ok peeps....when i started the car this evening the rev counter needle kept going up and down at idle? from about 800rpm to 850rpm, up and down continuously until i reved it gently and it settled at its usual 800. car seems fine otherwise... ideas?

Have been noticing in the last couple of weeks that the boost guage has been showing a drop off in the vacuum pressure at idle. Used to sit at 20VAC quite happily. Its slowly moved from 20 to 19, then to 18, and this morning 17psi VAC. Between gear changes the gauge flicks back to 21psi...

What RPM do your Cupra's idle at from cold? Mine hits around 1200, but then eventually drops to 1k ish. Is this normal as my megane never did this
