I am considering changing my current car (07 seat leon fr tdi) for an 05 seat leon cupra r 225ps with 16k miles as im not doing alot of mileage anymore. I would like opinions from owners of these cars in terms of performance, reliablity, running costs etc.

I’ve had my 02 LC, engine AUQ, since new and its remained standard all this time. Mainly because I changed jobs 2 years after I got it and now have to suffer the train, so do less that 1.5k a year. Anyway, time has come for a few mods, so I spent the last week reading through the forums...

Apparantly the ECU on my car is nackered!? Its a 02 plate 1.4 75bhp AMF engine. Now here goes, Seat want £1200 to replace the ECU and labour. I obv dont want to fork that out on a car thats worth £2 - 2.4K. Now has anyone ever had this problem before? Did you get a recon ECU or know anywhere...
