guage

I've searched some threads and i'll i can find is missing pictures or ones that confuse me! I have a boost guage (mechanical) and the hosing from forge, but where is it best to fit in the connection to get the best reading? and where can i find just the metal threaded bit with the hose connector?

Got in the car this morning, did a TBA, started driving and noticed the guage won't go higher than 2-5psi. Assumed limp mode but car is boosting strong. Guage goes into vacuum fine. Check hose, looks ok. Dodgy guage? Anyway of testing it? Cheers Dom
