My car is going into my local friendly mechanic at the weekend.
This is the first time it will have gone in since i got it last month. What should i get checked out? i.e. all boost pipes for leaks etc.
It is having other bits done anyway that need fixing in general (exhaust rattle, front...
As I am intending servicing my Cupra over Christmas I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what's best - a garage/dealer doing it or doing it myself? It will only be a basic service (plugs, oil, filters etc.)
As I see it there a few pros and cons of each. Doing it myself is obviously...
Hi all, relatively new here but now on my fourth Leon (MY07 FR TFSI) and loving it.
It's not often I feel motivated to write good things about companies, but having bought my current Leon from Westerham Garage in Kent, and just had it serviced and a couple of bits of warranty work done...
60K service is due on my 1.8 20vt.
Would like to get timing belt / brass water pump/ tensioners & auxiliary belts done at the same time.
Any garage recomendations (or garages to avoid) around oxford or newbury?
Hi All I will soon be a Cupra R owner and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a good VW/Audi/SEAT independent specialist for normal day to day stuff - not tuning etc.
Cheers
Okay, had the car a week so first chance ive had to get her on the ramps.
Front n/s track rod end is fecked, bit of play in the wheel so don't know how they didn't notice. I know its just wear and tear but they should have noticed that.
Havn't got the warranty details YET so phoned them...

Evening all,
Only registered this evening lol.
I got a 2001 Cupra which has done 61k.
Took the car for a drive and gave it a lil bit of right foot. Got home and opened the door and had a wiff of something rubbing/burning. Don't know whether this was from the turbo being hot and heating...
Hey folks;
So I am thinking about taking my 06 Ibiza Cupra for it's 10k service...
The chap I bought it from, had it serviced at 5k from the SEAT dealer he bought the car from.
However, I was thinking;
A new specialist VAG servicing company is opening next week literally 2 mins walk...
i went to a garage for £60Kservice inc water pump and cambelt, £440 all in.
Standard service would have been around £100. You speak to the owner and they showed me the bits that were replaced etc.
Anyway if you want to know the garage details let me know
The flywheel on my car (tdi 130) has broken and I was wondering if it is the same part as fitted to the golf gt tdi 130?
Secondly, does anyone know of a garage in the South East that would fit a clutch or flywheel cheaply (preferably seat/vw specialists)?
Or has anyone on here done it...
Hi....
Does anyone know a decent independent garage near Reading who knows something about Cupras?
My Curpa 2001 is due for its first service since I bought it and is still under warranty from the Seat dealer (SMC in Windsor). Wasn't overly impressed with the dealer and want someone to...
Oh well. I know these things happen. I knew there was some coolant loss and it's confirmed the rad needs replacing. Apparently that means bumper off and disconnect air con and therefore a re-gas of the air con. With new front pads (which I also knew were required) and the cost of the standard...

I cannot recommend these guys enough!!
Bought my Ibiza Cupra TDi just over two years ago from here. They put together a great deal, and I was (and still am!) more than impressed with the attention to detail and the focus on customer care.
The car has now covered 31k miles, and it has been...
