Alright forum folks! I would like to get a FMIC (front mounted intercooler for noobs) at some point in the future. Obviously I could get a Forge or Seat Sport jobbie, but I was just wondering if anyone has done their own custom FMIC? I don't think I have seen one... :think: Some of the Leon...
its starting to look abit old and abit manky so was thinking of spraying it black?what would be best to do it with just normal spray paint or should it be something speacial so it doesnt affect the cooling.

I know this isnt the usal Fmic thread but ive been searching the net for some Silicone Piping and came across these too...
Has anyone actual Tryed and tested these as both FMIC Look actually Really small But yet the Silicone and piping quality look really good...

ok, i understand that with the cupra its easier to get a twin pass fmic with inlets and outlets on the same side, however will this lack performance in comparison to an fmic with inlets and outlets either side?

The only problem is it was to a leon cupra r.....
The cupra r inlet manifold has the throttle body on the righthand side...
Bit of a long shoot but has anyone got any pic's of the front crash bar that Forge supply with there FMIC kit ?
I could also do woth the measurement's of where I need to cut an OE crash bar to make it fit.
Ideally I'd like to get the crash bar ready before I strip the front of the car to fit...

hi, im new the site, joined last nyt. iv had a leon cupra r for round 6 months now, jus had a stage 2 remap and a de-cat pipe, its boosting round 1.3 bar.. is that too much for the k04?? and thinkin of gettin a fmic, how much ov a distance will this make to the performance?? i will get sum pics...

Hi there whats the best and simplest to fit intercooler with pipe kit please. I have been lookin at the ones on ebay and some look good.
I was thinking of putting 2 of the smaller ones together. one under the other and then connected them with a pipe would this work

Im after a fmic for my leon fr . mk1. I know forge do one wich is 600 odd quid is there any others that do the job ? i know on the lcr there are a few that do the job . also if there was a chance of me changing the inlet maifold to a cupra r one what sort of things would need changing ?

I am looking at getting a FMIC for my Leon Cupra.
Couple of questions,
1) The intercooler itself has exits either side, should i be looking for one with both exits on the same side?
2) Whats the ideal size i should be after?

Ive fitted a fmic 2day :funk: Took it for a test run and it dosnt seem right, every time i put my foot down i could hear a whistle sound quite similer when turbo spool up when you fit tip. the car does feel laggy and not that resposive. dont have boost gauge yet. Does this sound a like a boost...
