flap

I'm just being lazy as it's probably in the users manual but what is the flap for thats located under the handbrake lever?? When lifted out there's nothing there apart from some wires!! I'm just curious thats all

I went to the garage last nite and i expected my flap to be open as usual as it just works with my central locking but it was locked shut, I tried the central locking a few times and nothing happened it was still shut, so i prized it open abit and bent the thin metal lug round that is attatched...

Im sure I didn't have this prob with my 1.4, but has anyone else with *well kept* nails looked like a plonker at petrol stations trying to open the petrol cap flap. Every time I now get the nail clippers out, the first thought that crosses my mind is *do I need petrol* lol :redface: :think: :D
