My jackpoint cover was not fitted when I bought the car, but it was in the boot. Ive tried fitting it back on, but its a complete pain in the arse!!! Is there some secret knack of fitting them that I dont know about?

I have just fitted the rear wiper arm and blade from a mark V golf and I cant seem to be able to fit the cover back on. Is there a mod i can do to the original so it'll fit or do i have to fit a new cover from VW? Cheers:)
