Got given an open cone filter today. it was originally for a beetle 2.0l 8v. i asked the guy who gave it me what size opening on it, and he said it was a 70/72ish..so i though hey lets try it in my bay was just curious..although it sounds AMAZING, would any problems arise from an open...

Hi all, ive been told that fitting a cone filter on my cupra will make it so i will hear my forge 007p recirculating dump valve, is this correct? If this is correct which fliter is the best one to buy, i.e cotton green, jabba, dyno twist etc?

Modded a standard LCR airbox today for a open cone air filter (mines a HKS)

Evening people, i want to fit an open cone filter to my 20vt FR. i had a look on saturday brieftly but didnt want to make a mess of things! Basicaly, do i remove the airbox, filter and breather pipe? I can see a screw from the airbox to the MAF, do i unscrew this and the airbox pulls free of...

i just need some advice i wanna put a cone air filter on my cupra 20vt but not sure how to do it with it having the other pipe going to air box i tried to put small filter on it and that didnt work it set off the engine management light :( so what do i do wiv that pipe all advice welcome...

Just swapped my modded airbox for a Jetex air filter and wow what a difference it made, tons more top end and it spins in 3rd now. Really shocked me, all i expected was more whooooshie sounds. Anyone else got one?

Is it actually worth getting a Green Filter cone induction kit for a 1.4 DAB, what sort of benefits would i get from it? What are the disadvantages, thanks gents (and Ladies), nothing on the search for this as i've tired

whats best for the cupra r cone ie 57i or replacement element either k and n or green cotton? just starting to get a few bits for a cupra r before i find the right one and buy it, thanks

Running a Split-R and have recently fitted an open cone filter the wooosh noise has definetly got louder but i have also noticed that i get an ocasional chattering dump instead:confused:, is this anything 2 wory about or is this just normal?

Pipes and sensors! won a new cone of ebay quite a big one too! it was only a pound! brand new more or less, but question if what do i do with all these pipes, esp the one that goes into the top of the airbox, its about 30mm or so thick..... thanks!

Just wondered if any body has the above as want to have a quick look at whats involved before i fit it and to make sure i have everything. Cheers steve

after a bit of reading it seems that they aren't liked as they can bugger the MAF, or at least the oily ones can and also the metal gauze ones cannot trap dust, but the powertec ones say they are supposed to be good? i have seen them on rick's LCR at one stage and also now on robdon's...

Hey guys Iv got a blitz style air filter straped onto the end of my MAF, at the moment it rests on the bottom half of my airbox which looks abit cack. Any ideas on a bracket i could make/use to support the MAF?? Cars a gti 8v by the way ;) Cheers

Anyone know the size of the cone Jabbasport use on their 3" MAF set ups? I presume the inside diameter will be 3 1/8" but does anyone know the overall lengh and outside diameter??
