Welcome to our new sponsor Lecatona, a brand dedicated to enhancing performance for VAG group sports cars, including SEAT, Audi, Volkswagen and Škoda. Specializing in High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) upgrades.
I've been doing quite a bit or research into this and have come across a few set ups. This one looks good and could be done in Britian, with different products.

Took my car in for new shoes yesterday and was told (amongst a few other things) that the brake fluid is VERY dark and wants changing. So, providing the weather's nice over the weekend (long shot I know), I'm going to give it a go.
Now, the Haynes manual says brake fluid capacity is 2 litres...
I had my 312mm brake conversion done yesterday, so spent last night bedding them in per Bill's instruction on his sticky.
Came to work this morning and nearly rammed somones arse end (ooo-errr), the brakes feel much worse then my old 288mm setup.......so:-
Do the ferodo DS2500 pads only...
A friend of mine put me in touch with a guy who is doing ds2500 pads for a good price. I'm double checking that they're the right ones for the LCR's Brembos and he says that they're the same as the Mk1 Focus RS. Can anyone confirm this for me before I part with the cash?
Cheers
as above really i am after a set of brake lines to fit a new set up and was wondering i the mk5 polo brake lines would fit a cupra ? or should i just talk to bill?
Hi all,
Know there have been many brakes discs and pads thread, but most seem to revolve around which are the best, and seen many good suggestions (e.g. Ferodo DS2500 + EBC Ultimax).
But I'm looking for front discs and pad (1.8T Cupra, 312mm) that will be better than the standard VAG ones...
Just had 312 brake upgrade done, the new TT hoses I supplied do not fit! They had to put the Ibiza ones back on. I know this makes it quite tight but is it acceptable? Provided I check them regularly? Otherwise does anyone have a link or can recommend hoses that definitly fit a Mk4 tdi FR but...

maybe the skoda vrs 17" alloys. i want to stay with 17" alloys, 18" ones will b too big for car!

Right then, a problem has arisen with the brakes on my tolly v5. All the discs and pads were changed in January and they all still appear nice and healthy. The stopping performance is still good. However, the brakes have begun to graunch extremly loudly when I reverse, and occasionally sligthly...
Right i think its new brake time now my standard setup on the front are squeeking like mad all the time and the discs have a reasonable lip on them.
So opinions please on which set up...Im going to be getting ds2500 pads anyhow.
But for the discs im not sure if to get the brembo's from...
Got all my bits and pieces to go ahead with the 312mm brake upgrade, thanks to a couple of folk on here! Basically I've got the calipers from Leon mk1 180/Golfmk4/TT, and some Ferodo pads. I'm just wondering if I have the correct pads, they are the right size but one of each set of pads has the...
Hello again, My car has developed the anoying happet of sometimes when I am pulling away from a junction or more so when I am on a downhill and then setting off the brake/handbrake light from the dashboard flashes and bleeps 3 times. Now the brakes work fine and its not the same as the...
Everything for the rear disc and pad change was going so well until I snapped the screw in brake pipe whilst trying to get the caliper back into the carrier.
Anyone know if this is full length or if it just screws into the caliper and connects to something else?
Thanks
Need to get this...
Does anyone know if the Audi TT 312mm brakes accept the Ibiza MkIV FR brake pads?
I'm upgrading shortly, and have been looking at the Audi pads. They seem to have the same part numbers as the FR ones. It'll save me a few quid if they do. ;)
Are the brakes on the Leon Cupra the same size as what is on a mk5 golf r32? Also what Porsche brakes would fit? Im looking at different braking options and trying to see what would work out best ;) Help appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dave
