I have read some previous threads which contain some info but not the answer i am looking for. Has anyone been able to switch off the stupid speed sensitive feature the alana mp3 radio's have? Really really annoying feature. (will browse the manual after work cause i cant take it anymore)

Can anyone help!!?? I have a 2003 Ibiza 130TDI :D with the Alana head unit and I want to attach any MP3 player to it - I don't have an ipod. Does anyone know of a lead that would go to a 3.5mm plug?

Sorry guys but I have searched the web and can not figure it out myself. I bought my fr the other week and I have gathered that the alana radio is pants already. Until it gets changed, the thing that bothers me the most is, I did not get a user manual and so I can not figure out if the radio's...

Does anybody know what the part number/serial number is? Also does it come with a long enough lead to put into the boot or would I have to put it into the glove box? don't really want to put it in the glove box

Hi My ibiza mk4 FR has the standard Alana head unit. I have a car PC in the boot and to get sound from that to the head unit im using a low power FM transmitter. The sound quality is OK but theres background hiss and id like to be able to get a direct line in. I know the simplest solution...

I want to replace my alana headunit on the mk4 ibiza, but when i went to fit my sony headunit it didnt sit flush and didnt lock into place, im guessing im not the only one to suffer from the problem due to the shape of the dash, im just wondering if anyone has got a suitable replacement headunit...

Im looking to buy a Dension Ice link + so i can use the my Ipod Nano with the Alana Headunit... Ive seen the ones that dension do which are £100 but..... On ebay there is one for VAG cars with an 8 pin Iso connector for £75 new... Does anyone know if the 8 pin connector is the right one...

When I bought the car I was aware I needed to sort the radio code out. The little card hasn't been filled in and is still sitting fresh in the Alana manual - this is annoying. Surely this should have been done before the car was handed over to its first owner? All the unit is displaying is...

Been trying to find a seat aura cd head unit because i'm fed up of always having to swap discs in the changer. They seem to be quite hard to come by, but i want an original seat unit because 1 - im not fussy about flashy expensive head units anymore, the aura sounds good and looks standard...

Hi I posted thsi in the ICE section but have had any responses so thought I 'd ask here! HAs anybody connected up an Mp3 player to a standard Alana HU in an Ibiza TDI sport? I think you should be able to do it via the CD changer port. Can anyone help? Cheers

Ive just done a search on the Alana but cant find the answer. Here's the question! Does your Alana receive radio reception as bad as mine!!? It flick's from stereo reception to mono at random! Is there anything that car be done? All Alana head unit's ive seen have been the same.
