I have a Cat-back Milltek system, Its just what i wanted really as im not into the boy-racer style sounding exhausts. It gives a more powerful deeper note and gives the occasional pop when backing off or changing gear quick. Also pulls slightly better mid-range.

iv got a full system, sounds nice when you hit the loud pedal but nice and stealth while going slow, apart from slowing down when you get a few pops :)

Scorpion system is a louder option, Dont think it sounds boy racerish cos the car has decent power so the sound compliments it. Louder than a miltek & lots of popping.

More expensive tho, Depends on how loud u want

i prefer it over any other as its nice and subtle but loud when you hit the loud pedal, also it doesnt drone on the motorway like some can

My jetex sound isnt too loud either, definatly not raspy boy racer. Sounds like a jet plane when right foot is planted.

just got a brand new milltek cat back system for £150 from fontain in slough.

very cheap i know reason is a customer ordered it and changed their mind about it last minute. so was on clearence its actually for the golf 1.8t but fits my tdi 150 perfect and uses same parts.

wont be putting it on till march when warranty expires on the car. good to hear it wont sound like them silly boy racer load ones especially since the cars a diesel that would sound weird

I have got the Milltek down pipe and race cat with a scorpion cat back and it sounds great! Nice and throaty and plenty of pops and bangs but don't notice it on the motorway! Best of both worlds.

It must be the extra air its recieving ? Is this kinda equaling the extra fuel it may have had which caused the popping?

Ibizacupra. with the cat back 2.5" system with no middle silencer, it sounded lovely, nice whistle out of the zaust from the turbo and plenty of pops. Supersprint i believe do a similar system?

Its to do with un burnt fuel escaping. Mine usually pops on a cold night when the engine is proper hot, I guess its the un burnt fuel coming from somewhere really hot & entering soewhere cold.

The reaction between the hot & cold air making it pop?

A bit like a thunderstorm
