Hi all just got back from Lap-Tab in Birmingham where I had my LCR wheels powder coated in shadow chrome. What can I say it’s a long day (6am to 3pm) but what a brilliant service! They have a few racks of old alloys wheels in most of there popular colours so you can actually see what the finish article will look like (as it’s difficult to see from a photo).
I had 5 alloys stripped from the car inc tyres, powder coated and then re fitted with new tyres onto the car and all for under £400 which I think is a bloody bargain really when you see the quality of the old LCR alloys.

Im over the moon with how they have turned out as there dark but not too dark so you can’t see the shape of the alloy. And they really suit the ovni colour IMHO.

Photos really don’t do them justice as there far better in the real light. Getting all my engine bay chrome stripped out to be done in the same colour in the next few weeks! Can’t wait!

Hope you like the Pics

You got all 5 refurbed, powder coated fitted and balanced and with 5 new tyres for under £400

5 tyres alone will cost you £550?

Looks good though mate :D

Very nice mate, dark wheels always look good on a light car[B)]

Does the rear wheel progreesively move forwards in the arch the more you drop the car?

Just wondering as I was considering Eibach coilovers, but would prefer the wheel to sit central in the arch

They're looking great!

I take it you're throughly satisfied with the whole experience?

I might pop down to have a look at some of the samples before I decide what I'm going to plump for.

Meet a fella down there who had an LCR sold it bought a TVR and wish he never sold the LCR. He was a bit pieved that mine were more the colour he was after (supposed to be the same colour) but then hed gone from gold to smoked chrome on his Scooby

Thanks all, these photos really don’t do them justice, But the car will be at Donny south and the herts meet as always so feel free to come and have a look at the quality of work done by lap tab (and to see how they really look) There phones are 24hr and they really are there at 11pm (as I phoned up to book the car in after being down the pub one night!)
