Hi Guys

Well today (christmas day) i woke up at 6 to start my drive down to conwall from kent to see the family. It was raining and horrible salty roads, about 30mins into the journey i notice my cars not boosting to its normal 14ish psi and only hitting 5psi dead on. So its gone into limp mode, i pull over and swith off and restart. Limp mode is still there. About another 15mins into the drive my diagnostic light comes on, now i pull right over and check everything out. Car was running fine but just in limp mode, a little bit later i go to pass a car and ive got all my boost back!but the light is still on.

Now the cars running fine but the lights still on. I thought it may need a reset so i disconnected the battery and diagnostic light went off. I went for a drive and im only hitting 10-12psi.

Im thinking dead MAF, any ideas? had a go at unplugging the maf but i cant see how the bugger comes off?

Now at my familys and have 300 miles to get home again.

Merry christmas everyone

Thanks

Russell

Its fiddly.. a small flat blade screwdriver will help to pop out the little catch at the top.. gently prise is outward and upward and it should release (with a wiggle)

some of them are really tight so and so's tho.

good luck

Update, cleaned maf and went for a drive and no change.

Dissconected maf (tcs light came on) and went for a drive and no change.

Still only reaching 10psi max.

Any thoughts guys.

Thanks

Thinking could the reason i had no change when dissconecting the maf be because i disconnected the battery so in sense it has never had a good maf reading to divert back to?
