OBDeleven Tool for VCDS type of activity... working ones for the Ateca

This thread covers the use of the OBDeleven tool with worked, tested results on the Ateca 2016 - 2019 models. Check Obdeleven website for news on programming the new 2020 models on progress of this

"The programming temporarily is not supported on models that are manufactured from 2020 and have SFD protection. The negotiation regarding the support of these models is in progress"

The general discussion thread is here:

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=4728900#post4728900

The OBDeleven dongle works via Bluetooth with an Android device 4.0 and above to adjust / read the car's system via OBD. You need the Pro version to get maximum control so you can do "long coding". The tool also uses micropayments if and only if you use the apps that are offered up with it. All results can be produced via long coding and the menuing. Some of the apps in any case don't currently work. There is a reasonable amount of confusion about the micro payment system for the apps (credits) but you really don't need to use that part of the tool. The app uses wifi / 3g / 4g to connect back to the companies servers.

Some iOS people treat themselves to cheap eBay tablets with wifi and Bluetooth that meet the spec just to use it.

The advantage over VCDS is that it's cheaper if you have an Android device and is far more portable for checking things when travelling if the need arises. Restated you do need the Pro version if you are going to get the best out of it.

The app can be downloaded from the Playstore:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voltasit.obdeleven

The Ateca support via their link:

http://obdeleven.proboards.com/

German and Spanish boards for the Ateca also provide worked examples of mods.

Some Youtube videos about, US site

Useful tutorial:

http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f153/obdeleven-new-kid-block-112163.html

The OBD port is straight down from the light switch on either left or right hand drive cars. The fits in with the logo facing towards you. First time you have to bend down to find the slot after that you can fit and pull out by hand pretty easy from the driving seat.

One thing to note is the device should be removed after use since it has been reported on other cars that the battery starts to run down as the device keeps other devices live in the car. Good idea to right swipe the app, switch the engine off, pull device out, turn back on then power down again.

The first thing to do when you get it and set it up is to run a scan for error codes and then look to making modifications. If you are worried about warranty then don't read any further although it's reported that dealers aren't too bothered about it's use. Sister Leon board here covers it for the Leon but presentation varies to model and of course systems in the car.

Mods to follow.

Registering the Device

Too register for the Pro version you feed the activation code included into the app, this then gives you the Pro functionality. Basically you register, go into settings, toggled Pro on, put the activation key in. Then went to the screen to Purchase credits, did use code, so now showing 211 credits. These two bits of info are on that piece of paper in the plastic wallet with the device. You get free credits when you buy it if you intend to use the micro apps if not your credits build up since each time you go into the app it gives you a credit.

All of this you can do without plugging in the unit. Long coding and the Adaptation menus can be used for "free" which give you all the functionality that only the Pro version gives you.

Once you get the dongle plugged in and get to Blutooth setup the software offers you the one of two codes but then the dongle is protected from other users meddling by the use of a stored password which you specify. NOTE THIS DOWN.

There is a PDF to getting started

obdeleven.com/quick_start/quick_start.pdf

1234 is one of the the Bluetooth codes.

Lastly if you went to town and brought lots of cars into the "Garage" whilst playing with the app, you left swipe them and confirm to delete.

Modules marked with a red spot are deemed as those identified with a fault. Clicking on these give the following error reports:

These were real errors except for the Kessy bus one all of the other errors the car was delivered with.

Any error reports can be deleted by clicking the red dustbin if it is deemed that the error is fixed. The frequency of the error detected is also shown. A Google link also allows the VW error code to be looked up.

Mirror Dip in Reverse

This modification is a useful training modification to get up to speed on the use of the app. There is a certain amount of debate about the implementation of dipping the mirrors in VW cars, a facility that has been withdrawn more recently. Obviously top view may give you a better view of what is around if well lit. It can't be expected that the mirror servo to dip the mirror will maintain the same adjustment over say twenty drops and returns which some people expect. Some level of correction is required over a period and perhaps to only use when you need it keeping the rotatory switch to heated or the neutral 0 position.

The mirror drop is gained by turning the mirror knob as follows and selecting reverse:

  • L for a RHD
  • R for LHD

The coding required varies slightly as to whether you have an electric driving seat or not.

The published mod in VCDS form is a typical example of where you have to take the text and implement it in the OBDEleven - better if somebody has already worked through with examples.

From

http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7542&page=3

Passenger mirror dip…mirror switch has to be on the passenger setting for it to work.
52 Passenger door
07 coding

DO NOT enable bit 1 unless you have Memory Seats. Enabling this will cause the mod not to work if you do not have Memory Seat or a Memory module.
No need to enable bit 7.

17-Access control 2 Spiegelabsenkung bei Rueckwaertsfahrt (change to “active”)
THEN

the option in the menu screen.

This mod brakes into two parts, "long coding"
52 Passenger door
07 coding

DO NOT enable bit 1 unless you have Memory Seats. Enabling this will cause the mod not to work if you do not have Memory Seat or a Memory module.

THEN
(22) Access control 2-Menuesteuerung Spiegelabsenkung (change to “active”) this puts
the option in the menu screen.

The implementation in the Ateca via OBDEleven:

Select door electronics, module 52 as screen.

Coding. Get the bit codes into byte 04. To get "long coding" entry method hit top right slider 0-1 to 1 for coding input screen. Byte 04, toggle on bits 2 & 3. Save, check mark. Green tick. Note that for memory seats enable bit 1 if you don't have memory seats don't enable it.

uZuI260.png

Long Coding and Click 0-1 for byte entry

knRrtWA.png

Move around the bytes and select the appropriate ones as noted. Add the memory seat bit if you have then then tick and save.

Byte 4
Enable bit 2 and 3.
DO NOT enable bit 1 unless you have Memory Seats. Enabling this will cause the mod not to work if you do not have Memory Seat or a Memory module.
No need to enable bit 7.

fLFQ6Mi.png

Put the bit changes in on the screen above and save. 31347 is the security code. The door electronic passenger side is now setup.

Now make changes to the control unit 09, note the security code is 31347 which is required to make changes to the adaptations of this control unit.

Central Electronic Control Unit

Enter Security code (31347) then Adaptations

Search "Spiegelverstellung" (credit to Zebster)

B2euS0J.png

Now need to activate "Spiegelabsenkung bei Rueckwaertsfahrt"

Select and tick to save

uDe6WdU.png

This will now activate a mirror dip menu option in the car's settings. Check mark "Lower while reversing", click that to on:

5r4L5Uw.png

The passenger door mirror will drop when reverse is selected if appropriate L (for RHD) or R for LHD when reverse gear is selected. Will return when central locking etc engages when moving or 0 selected. The mirror doesn't drop alot thou... the mirrors dropped position can be adjusted.

Enjoy.

Automatic folding of Wing Mirrors & Lock with One Short Press Remote or Kessy Door Action

Atecas prior to the 2019 model came with a two action process to lock the car and close the wing mirrors:

  • Lock - click remote lock or touch Kessy door handle outer sensor
  • Retain action for two seconds to close the wing mirrors in

The 2019 model or thereabouts has a menu toggle where automatic closing on one touch can be turned on. This mod is for cars prior to this which enables the menu....

Once the novelty of the two action has warn off you can program the locking so the car is locked and the mirrors always turn in on the first click or touch on the handle. This is useful when carrying bags, balancing between parked cars etc just to touch and forget. You know the car is locked when the mirror fold in and no more faffing about. If you know you are going in and out of the car then you can just turn the mirrors to close using the twiddly knob. Useful for washing as well :).

Credit this one to the Spanish Ateca forum

A. Module 09, select Adaptations

7HMtlpy.png

Select Adaptations

B. Select Spiegelverstellung

Tap Spiegelverstellung

C. Select Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus & change to "by look command via remote control key", check and provide security code 31347

Before:

Change & OK:

After, Click green:

Enter security code for the module:
FGGIszf.png

This has now removed the long press to close the mirrors on the remote or door Kessy part to single touch. Mirrors can be folded in on the twiddly knob also.

An additional setup menu "Fold in when parked" is provided which turns on and off auto close on the single touch. Twiddly knob still works.

Turning off the Stop / Start Feature

It's often said that people buy VCDS to turn off the stop start feature, particularly for the DSG VW implementation with the engine cutting out after coming to rest if you don't lift your foot off the brake within two seconds. Whilst stop start can be turned off manually each time after starting the engine, forgetting to do this and arriving at the first busy junction or roundabout after the car engine warms up can lead to dangerous situations as split second timing is required to pull out as the radio or music dims the sound of the engine running. For this reason people researched methods to defeat the stop start mechanism so as to permanently turning it off till you change the mod again. Better implementation of stop start by VW giving the driver more time to release the brake pedal (beyond the two seconds on the DSG) so as to prevent stop start from kicking in would avoid the need for the mod on safety grounds. VW would defend this by saying you have the switch to turn the feature off - yes if you remember and therein lays the ability of an accident.

The voltage method can be used with the Ateca. This is based on the stop start unit will not stop the engine if the battery voltage is not above a pre defined level. The default voltage for the Ateca is 7.6 volts (least in the TDI), changing this to 12 volts stops the stop start from kicking in. This is a Golf 7 mod which works with the Ateca.

http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/167/coding-adaptations
Disable Start/Stop
Select Control unit 19
Adaptation
Start Stop Limit voltage
Value=12

When the car is serviced the Ateca service manual covers the working of stop start, so it is suggested so as to not confuse service staff this value is reset to 7.6 volts before service :). The "Car" menu also reports that stop start is not functioning which is due to the controller being fooled that it can't stop the engine due to a heavy load being taken. That report can be ignored. There are no side effects, regeneration acts as normal for diesel cars. Confirmed on this thread (I've had no issues with it)

http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27962

Instructions:

Go into control unit 19 (Gateway):

Tap Security Access enter 20103:
xoKa31C.png

Within the Adaptations menu search for Stop / Start Voltage Limit and click on it:
cyBOXYn.png

Alter voltage to 12 volts, make a note of current voltage and save the change via the tick:

Mod is now made.

Panoramic Roof on Comfort Closing

The panoramic roof if fitted can be centrally closed from the door or remote control. This feature is supported by the VW software but is not enabled after an accident in the states. If you do not carry children or anybody else that is likely to fowl the closure of the roof by accident then it is safe to do but obviously is your choice. The advantage is that doors, windows and the sunroof are all closed together.

Credit this one to Nate.

Goto the Central Electrics module 9:
bbmjwO4.png

Pick Adaptations and search under Schiedebach:

Select Schiedebach:
qY4DqWM.png

Toggle SAD Komfort schliessen to active, means comfort closing:

Click tick to save, the security code is 31347 for this module.

If central opening is also required select the one below as well (note if the windows gets sent the accidental remote control signal to open all windows the roof will open as well - trouser pocket squeezed key issue so probably best to leave that as not active).

TURN OFF TAILGATE WARNING BEEP

Credit this one to Nate. Haven't tried it myself in case it does come down on my head by accidental triggering but if the sound does bother you or your neighbours thinking they have a supermarket delivery etc...

Turn off the warning beep when tailgate is closing/opening using your foot.

See below the obd settings:

Volume to be Replenished (MFD to maximum fill tank)

There are a set of standard VW dash long coding menu options to the dash that can be made. Essentially these menu options built into the software but not shown so the users can optionally enable them if they wish. One is oil temperature but this is already shown, a more useful one on pre-payment pumps is volume to replenish.

Go into control unit 17, Dashboard:

Go into Long coding and select Volume to be Replenished, select Yes, OK
DwtNyyI.png

Click - you may have to stop the engine for the mod to take:

This enables an additional screen menu as shown below (refuel quantity):
1SnvYvU.png

At this point UK cars will show volume to fill up in gallons rather than litres:

This can be changed to litres:

Enabling fan (blower) speed display in AUTO mode

This one gives you visual feedback on what the air-conditioning unit is doing on fan speed so you can juggle with the controls / temperature settings if impatient with what it is doing. It is a standard VW mod. It's all "long coding" easy to do. (All self respecting VAG group drivers have this one when you look at Youtube videos ;))

The coding instructions are:

Controller 08 - HVAC

07 - Coding

Byte 11 Bit 6 - Blower Status Display in Auto-Mode active - enable

In ODBELEVEN:

Select Coding

Tap Coding then "long coding" 0-1 toggle shown top rightish when coding screen is shown.

Move to byte 11. (Bottom using green 》)

Screen before change on byte 11:

Screen before change

Tap bit 6 to check mark and centre tick to save:
xVaaEF9.png

Save with the green tick.

Results fan speed is displayed on the outer ridge of the knob:

DLR On / Off via Light Switch or Tick on the Car Menu to Turn DLR on or off

This is the one that you might want to do before starting off on long mods with the OBDEleven. With the engine running you have the option to turn off the DLRs so for any reason you have the engine running and don't want to show the DLRs, this one is for you. Best to turn them back on after.

There are three methods than can be deployed one related to the parking brake but with auto on they would be on and off all of the time. A second is to make the light switch at 0 (off) the DLRs are off.

Select control unit 9. Adaptations search for Aussenlicht Front, select

Method 1 Switch method - 0 DLR set to off, auto is on

Select Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung AUTO

Select Active and OK

Select Active and Ok

Green tick and security code 31347.

Method 2 Control via Lights Menu

Select Tagfahrlicht Aktivierung durch BAP oder Bedienfolge moeglich
5uLgBui.png

Click on it

Select Active and Ok

Green tick and security code 31347.

New menu option

Irish Seat Ateca's Lane Assist - Missing "Adaptive Lane Guidance" Menu Option

Ateca's destined for the Republic of Ireland can have the Lane Assist menu "Adaptive Lane Guidance" menu removed. Seat Ireland claims this is due to the Irish road markings.

Irish Ateca Lane Assist Menu:
IGNUBgw.png

Net result some drivers find Lane Assist not working as well as it could since they can't control this option it's permanently set to on. Better option is to re-instate the menu with the on / off toggle for Adaptive Lane Guidance and select yourself whether to action on or off. The severity of the correction can also be adjusted via OBDEleven.

yfdXR7o.png

The thread below covers the issue of where the menu is missing from a Golf R. The same process can be used to obtain it for the Ateca. However use the setting "late (setting via menu)" so as to match how Ateca's are generally configured for use outside Ireland.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthre...-Enable-Adaptive-Lane-Tracking-with-OBDEleven

A. The "Front Sensors Driver Assistance System" module is accessed in the OBDEleven
k0yCM7v.png

B. Select Security Access, enter the code 20103, press enter, then go back, select Coding and find "Point_of_intervention" & tap

C. For the Ateca select "late (setting via menu)" (will currently be set Irish cars without the screen to "late") - make change, check mark and exit
U5xcWBO.png

D. The menu "Adaptive Lane Guidance" should now appear and can be toggled on and off as required

The Golf R instructions tell you to set it "early (via the menu)", for the Ateca recommend keeping this to "late (setting via menu)" inline with production car destined for other regions. This can be experimented later if an issue continues.

Useful threads

Tested Ateca mods on the Spanish board

In Spanish

https://www.clubseatateca.com/temas/codificando-con-obdeleven-procesos-verificados.2417/#post-98513

Translated to English

https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&tl=en&u=http://www.clubseatateca.com/temas/codificando-con-obdeleven-procesos-verificados.2417/

You might wish to check the German in the original Spanish in case it changes although I now use the Google app on the print screen to translate via the rubbing method.

It's worth noting that certain options on the Ateca can be turned on such as Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) even if this was not purchased within the options. The Lane Assist camera is sufficient for this. The micro app covers this although it is reported that it does not work but the Spanish forum covers this via long coding and does work. See post 65, page 4 on this thread where I've gone over this with the screens from my factory built car with it on. Now of interest given that Seat have now dropped TSR from the range.

The cornering light mod for full LED just activates the fog lights, left and right when cornering. It was considered by Seat that full LED lights did not warrant cornering lights whilst these were implemented in the lower spec cars that were not full LED (2016 / 2017 Atecas).

German Ateca Forum Mods

Their listed mods are more speculative and some not tested:

https://www.ateca-forum.de/index.php/Thread/2325-Übersicht-der-Codierungen/?postID=30721#post30721

Golf Mk7 Mods

The Ateca shares a number of common units as the Golf Mk7 so the list of mods is a crib sheet although these are written in a way that the coding and adaptation menus are not clear and security codes are not provided. The lighting unit and roof obviously are different. Other mods are identical (where I took volume to refill and AC fan lighting speed from):

http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/167/coding-adaptations?page=1

Rain closing does not work due to how the car is powered up.

Hill Hold Assist Duration - useful one to look at for people having an issue with this.

The VAG lookup that the OBDEleven does name the modules and components so an internet search may provide a useful mod if implemented on any other VAG car.

Lights

My rough notes more for information on the full LED Xcellence lighting units. There is little published on the Ateca lighting units yet so this is brought together from the use of these units on other VW cars and notes on the net. There are complicated settings to achieve peoples non standard lighting variations which I'm sure some people will have a go at but obviously moving away from the default could be problematic. The trick lighting that you see published on other VW cars calls up these units with particular parameters.

I don't guarantee the accuracy of this list at 100 percent but probably circa 95 percent.

Leuchte 0 BLK VL B36 - Indicator front left (headlight)
Leuchte 35 LED warn blink taster c48 - LED blinkers
Leuchte 10 shutter LB23 - shutter height for lights
Leuchte 10 shutter RB23 - shutter height for lights

Leuchte 18BLK HLA60 - Left Rear Indicator
Leuchte 19BLK HRC31 - Right Rear Indicator
Leuchte 1BLK VRB20 - Indicator front right (headlight)

Leuchte 20BR LA71 - Left outer tail

Leuchte 33AMBL 3C36 - Surround back left lighting (probable) (Xcellence ignore)
Leuchte 34AMBL 4C37 - Surround back right lighting (probable) (Xcellence ignore)

Leuchte 3SL VRB21 - Daytime running lights right (headlights)
Leuchte 4TFL LB4 - Left and front DRL envelope

Leuchte 5TFL RB32 - DRL right and front marker
Leuchte 6ABL LC5 - Low beam front left (headlight)
Leuchte 7ABL RB1 - Low beam headlight right (headlights)
Leuchte 8FL LB39 - Light function cornering light left or parking ?
Leuchte 9FL RB2 - Light function cornering light right or parking ?

Ambient light units do not appear on the Golf Mk7s but Skoda have the first two of the four units marked up with AMBL. I'm assuming the surround back lights are probably the top back lights.

There are three other light adaptations below these:

I moved this thread over from the shark infested / miserable other English board where they fear to cross the road in case they get run over :). If they don't have it on their car your wrong etc etc. The boarded funded by questionable insurance sponsors.

So solving the issue of lane assist for Irish cars with the missing menu I did for an Irish poster, whilst a Dutch poster sorted out the panoramic roof central closing and the tailgate beep warning. The rest I did myself for my own customisation using other published material and adaption from other cars.

I know the FIS one works

FIS Carbon
Select Control unit 17
Adaptation
Screen view
Value=Option 2

Security codes as per the dash.

I believe these two do

Lap Timer Aktivation
Select Control unit 17 (Dashboard)
Control unit Long Coding
Byte 1
Bit 3 Activate

Pointer Test
Select Control unit 17 (Dashboard)
Control unit long coding
Byte 1
Bit 0 Activate

Might have news on this one once I hack into the Infotainment menu... green menu I'm looking into at the minute for map updates to the SSD

Adjusting Microphone Sensitivity
Select Control unit 5F (infotainment)
Adaptation
Select Mikrofonempfindlichtkeit (Microphone Sensitivity)
Adjust value as you wish.

These are off the Golf Mk7 Obdeleven proboard site there must be equivalent for the Ateca

Comin Home Lighting Duration
Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
Security access
Access Code 31347
Adaptation
(3) Comfort illumination-Menueeinstellung Cominghome
Value (Default: 15 seconds - maximum: 60 seconds)

Comin Home/Leaving Home with Fog and LED
Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
Security access
Access Code 31347
Adaptation
(4) Comfort lighting Coming Home Lights
Value :Nebellicht(Low Beam)

This is where the Obdeleven menu is patched into the VAG behind the scenes stuff so what is published for other cars may be different the way it's presented on the Ateca Obdeleven menu. Obviously lights are different etc so published stuff in that area won't work. Some Obdeleven menus are in German. A snap shot in Android and Google image translate can be your friend. Published VCDS for the Ateca may be useful. Basically the car is a pumped up Golf mk7 so published mods for that and Leon and Octavia mk3 ones are worth looking at. The suppressed menu business and tuning setting for lane assist, turning on traffic assist / lane assist will follow along the lines of other VAG cars.

I'm going to index the thread better and put a Q&A thread up so this one flows. Did you have any mods in mind?.

Think I know where you moved the thread from as been doing loads of reading on obdeleven and used lots of your posts to string the working solutions together and filling in any gaps or parts I did not understand... (still some outstanding)

Being as I have never done any coding before this is all new to me and don't want to get any errors...

In the past had other people do VCDS mods to my previous cars but it always takes some time and travelling to get it done so being brave and having a go myself.

Just finding the right contacts is not easy.

Anyway if works on my car I've got it and if it doesn't then its because the spec is different on my car but if it is hidden in the car somewhere then I want it turned on.

Used your posts and successfully activate:-

1 Turn off tailgate beeps. (Had to find code elsewhere 12345)

2 Auto folding mirrors with one press.

3 Refuelling quantity (Yes needed to turn off car to accept code)

4. DRL's off method 2.

They all work as per your posts thanks.

Great idea for an index and Q&A thread

What I would like to be able to do is the following list:-

(You did ask..... )

1.FIS Carbon

(Have nav but not nav+ and did read somewhere you need nav+) Is it safe to try if only have standard nav?

2.Lap timer

(Long coding.... scared.... not done anything other than adoptions) Need an idiots step guide to try first!!!!!)

3.Pointer Test

(Is this another name for needle staging?) Had this on all my previous cars seems weird with out it...

4. Coming home lights just fogs

5. Tyre pressure display.

(Found a link then lost it showing the pressures for each wheel in the centre display)

6. Top view camera in motion

(Seen others asking and does not seem possible as they say to many variable!!!!!!) Seems to complicated...

7.Kessy automatic locking.

8.. Unfold wing mirrors when staring ignition with start button and NOT when unlocking car.

9.Acceleration display. (In dashboard module) not sure what it does

10.Rear Blind spot detection. can it be turn on if you already have park assist?

11.Sport profile setting to be more sporty (accelerator response time)

12. Can you record video output from the 360 camera views to the SD card while driving as a dash cam.

13. Rear light on with DRL's

14. Can you activate adaptive cruise control if you already have standard cruise control.

15. emergency breaking (think it's called adaptive break light?)

16.Indicator sequencing from the inside to outwards. (dynamic lighting) no boy racer stuff like pace car lighting

17 Sunroof auto close on long press so can leave it on tilt when parked on short press.

18 Sunroof auto shut when driving with rain sensor.

19 lights auto on while driving with rain sensor

20 Battery voltage display on centre screen

21 did find some interesting lists in the dashboard but not sure what they do:-

pedestrian protection BAP Distance
Internal noise sound-actuator

While that's my list of mods so far to your question do I have any mods in mind.......... (how am I doing so far for as a newbie? Do any of them sound interesting to yourself?)

Might need a month of Sundays for some of these.

With the other board Nate forgot to put up the security code on that thread whilst I had it somewhere else on that board. Since you can edit posts after they have been posted on this board it's much better for editing stuff back in that got left our first time around :).

On FIS carbon I did some experimenting with that today you have four alternatives although I couldn't see the difference between version 1 and 2. The default is 1. I'll post that up latter. It's only suppose to work with a colour display else you don't see and difference. I do have a colour display. The German and Spanish boards have done that one.

Need staging (pointer test) is easy. I'll post that one up as well. That works.

I was going to try out the lap timer but got pressed for time.

On

4. Coming home lights just fogs

(possible one suspects but since full LED won't burn out hopefully the fogs not being full LED at the minute would cost more to replace - that's my thinking when people want to use non LEDs over LEDs)

5. Tyre pressure display...

not sure

6. Top view camera in motion

- I guess that's finding the speed limiter parameter that automatically turns them off if it's sensible to do... still don't think the processor will keep up with what's going on thou

7.Kessy automatic locking...

that one is about in Mods on the net...

Have a look at this

https://www.ateca-forum.de/index.php/Thread/2222-Kessy-Automatisches-Zusperren-des-Fahrzeugs/

In English:

https://translate.google.co.uk/tran...atisches-Zusperren-des-Fahrzeugs/&prev=search

8.. Unfold wing mirrors when starting ignition with start button and NOT when unlocking car....

not sure

9.Acceleration display. (In dashboard module) not sure what it does

(possible from the parameters in the car's menu if it works ?)

10.Rear Blind spot detection. can it be turn on if you already have park assist?.

Rear cross ??? that comes with blind spot. If you don't have the rear radars you don't get blind spot or rear cross

11.Sport profile setting to be more sporty (accelerator response time)

pass that's one for the Leon side of the board

12. Can you record video output from the 360 camera views to the SD card while driving as a dash cam.

No

13. Rear light on with DRL's.

Probably once when people have cracked the Ateca lights

14. Can you activate adaptive cruise control if you already have standard cruise control.

Interesting one. Needs further research. Did some Ateca's come with standard cruise and not AAC. AAC uses the front assist radar. Seem to recall a range of buttons on some of the cars so you might be out of luck if the stalk doesn't have the button even if the software can be frigged. Feels like a separate thread with a photo of your buttons. I must say I don't use my AAC or cruise control which I have I just drive between the beeps of the road speed warnings, traffic sign recognition and speed camera warnings.

15. emergency breaking (think it's called adaptive break light?)

- see Spanish board where they have posted up some examples. Haven't done it.

16.Indicator sequencing from the inside to outwards. (dynamic lighting) no boy racer stuff like pace car lighting.

That's one down to when people master the lighting unit although when I looked at them it seemed to me that the fancy lighting tricks were there as they were used on other cars.

17 Sunroof auto close on long press so can leave it on tilt when parked on short press...

I think that one might be covered on the sunroof mod higher up. It auto closes the roof if you long touch the handle or lock button, comfort closing enabled. May be you mean a half way stage

18 Sunroof auto shut when driving with rain sensor....

I know the parked up mod doesn't work since the Ateca isn't powered up once parked not to enable it. May be this mod is possible.

19 lights auto on while driving with rain sensor...

pass

20 Battery voltage display on centre screen...

ah that one doesn't work. That's the SOD mod I couldn't get it to work. On some VAG cars it comes up on the FIS once enabled via pressing the speedo reset button. Tried that when doing the fuel to fill mod didn't work.

21 did find some interesting lists in the dashboard but not sure what they do:-

pedestrian protection BAP Distance

- sound like you might be able to adjust front assist but probably best to leave alone
Internal noise sound-actuator

- that will be making an engine sound if it was implemented, most Golf Mk7 owners get VCDS / OBDEleven to turn it off

Staging / Pointer Test

With this mod the display needle swing and dashboard light up on ignition. This can be enabled in the Dashboard Control unit (17)

IpTjCNv.png

Under Long Coding select "Staging"

CyvGMhR.png

Tap "Staging" and select "Yes" and OK

mncbvmW.png

Hold green tick bottom right, dashboard security code shouldn't be required but if required 25327. Needle swing and full light dashboard test on ignition is now enabled.

An example of an Ateca with staging enabled on the net

FIS Carbon

With mod the dashboard screen can take on a different background style, default is version 1. It's reported that it only shows in the colour FIS display. Some experimentation may be required to determine which is the preferred background or whether the default is the best.

This can be enabled in the Dashboard Control unit (17)

IpTjCNv.png

Long coding:

sNqZps2.png

Configuration of driver information... "Driver Depiction" should be be set to on if it's not already.

In Adaptation menu search for "Display Depiction", select:

rk3ETFl.png

Selection version 2 (nb version 3 etc aren't supported)

OK and save, screen effect change appears immediately. Example "carbon" background pattern:

(Security code 25327 if required)
