Good morning chaps,


Okay so im looking to improve my Ibizia, interior features.

Ive been looking around doing some research on prices and installation guides.

The best solution I could find was a UK retailer selling an all in one unit with all of the above included.

I spoke to the lad and they seem pretty legit, what I really like was the 2 year warranty.

My question is, does any one have any experience with these units and retailer?

That doesn't look too bad. Not a bad price either.

Just check that it will fit the MK5 ibiza ( first picture looks like the Ibiza mk5 but pictures further down are not the same unit.

Also in the list of compatible cars further down - the ibiza is not listed.

Other things to check :
1. Who's navigation system/maps does it use ( you won't be able to update them if it's a special )
2. Can you add POI ( eg speed cameras )
3. canbus compatibility
4. any special adaptors for steering wheel / stalk control

Well I gave them a call again to get some more details.

* Maps are updated every 3 months for free.

* Includes speed camera mapping

* Steering wheel rack compatible, volume and station change.

* The first picture at the top is the one they supply and it comes with the trim.

* He did mention that if the speakers dont have built in amplifiers I would probably need to buy new speakers.
(buying new Alpines anyway, nothing with to much bass just better quality sound to block the diesel noise lol)

* They have fitters in London and other major cities for £100 inc all in. My local guy does it for £35 an hour. Im sure it wont take more than 2 hours.

Did you get this unit? I am looking for something like this but I don't want to alter the dash if I can help it.

It says it has a 4 x 52w amp built in - it should be ok with normal speakers.

i think what they mean is that if you have the Audi BOSE system where the speakes have separate amps - then the unit needs a modification to drive them.

I'm sure this is the same unit

i bought my pioneer for less, ive had something similar before and was ok for price, but radio didnt work was fuzzy

I was looking at these before but never bought it due to cash restrictions.

They look smart, but the only thing that would worry me would maybe be heat dissipation from the unit and the sound quality?

Fitting would be easy as well, just pop the fascia off, undo the screws, plug it in and reverse the first two steps with the new fascia.
