Hi! I came here to hopefully get some help with sorting a few things out. Does anyone know what could be causing the following?
I'm sorry for the wall of text, but I didn't want to leave out any important information.
The car in question is a 2002 SEAT Leon cupra 4 TDI, 150hp ARL enginge, (with a 190hp/310lb/ft remap) and just shy of 130000 miles on it
17964 Charge Pressure Contr. Negative Deviation
The main problem is that the car keeps going into limp mode all the time.
It looks like it doesn't really matter how i drive it, as the limp mode will kick in at some point anyway. This usually doesn't take very long.
Also, there is a major boost lag while not in limp mode as well. This varies between ~2500rpm up to as late as ~4000rpm.
It can be reduced a lot with quick gear changes at high rpm, but then again I don't want to keep pushing the engine in the state that it is..
00779 - Temperature sensor for external temperature (G17)
What does this one do? Is it just the for the outside temperature displayed in the instrument panel? And where is it physically located?
Personally I'm guessing that there must be a boost/vacuum leak somewhere, but I don't know it for sure. Is there any chance these fault codes are related?
A big thank you in advance!
