Hi all I have a lcr210 and it has a decat with stainless..k+n filter, forge bov.
Was running 245ish bhp hitting 17.5psi holding 16ish.
Now I've had it mapped its hitting 22psi on the liquid gauge
(1.8bar on a normal gauge?!)
But is only holding about the same..almost like one big boost spike..
Funny thing is the power hasn't changed..
I quessing because it's not holding the boost..
I've done a boost leak test and found nothing..
Ripped the Pcv system out while I was there..
I have a liquid gauge and can get some readings..can I get some thing from there that will help me?
I've checked the maf gs and it's at 4 at idle at 200 full chat.
Do you think the liquid gauge is reading wrong? As to bhp...
It seems to be wrong in boost...

Any help would be great!

What screen are you talking about..I know you mean the liquid gauge..
LOL

Thought I had read the manual!

Says in the manual it's set to maf?
Are you talking about on the maf screen?
If so I can't adjust it..

Thanks so far.

BHP & Torque Calculation mode
When in the BHP gauge, hold the joystick right to toggle between the MAF method
and the ECU Torque method, the selected method is indicated by a light grey “M” or
“T” in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
For Petrol cars the default is to use the MAF method.
For Diesel cars the default is to use the ECU Torque method.

See now...was looking in the maf screen.
Yes it's set to M.

Can I get some readings off the liquid gauge that will help me know what's going on?
I'm sure it's running rich aswell as the plugs are black..might be the 4 bar FPR..I've removed it and put new plugs in it.

Thanks for your help.

Long story..
Brought the car so called mapped..
Took it to revo for stage 2,only to be told its had demo software on it that's run out!
So i got it mapped,(guy off ebay)and then fitted the 4bar FPR, not that I noticed any difference..
Just black plugs!

Do you think the liquid gauge is more accurate as to boost?
Just I don't want a rod out the side!
1.8bar peak is ok yeh?
Or is that too much??

Cheers again!

Black plugs over fuelling put your old reg back in, do yourself and the car a favour take it to reputable tuner, they need setting up properly ie rolling road to see what the engine is doing.

Mmmm....
The boost is deffo out ...
Just hope the bhp is too...
Just seems strange that the power is the same.

I'm hoping the black plugs is just the FPR.
Will take them out on a couple of days and see what's happening.

Any ideas what the fuel reading should be at full chat on the liquid gauge?

Why would you fit 4bar fpr it will mess up your fueling , it's not needed on lcr running stock turbo , put the stock 3 bar back on the lcr comes with a stock 4 bar fuel pump , you can just stick stuff on without doing anything to mapping or advice from experienced tuners

I got told that it would be silly not to fit it,to help at higher revs.
Reading various forums it's common practice..??

Edit:I've fitted the stock one back on as I was concerned about the sooting.

any tuner will know that a new fpr needs to be mapped in, its not a case of adding it after. i would be worried if a tuned said that to me. mobile mapping is poor and really needs to be done on a rolling road to get the fuelling right at top end. most mobile mapper only turn boost up and let the car run lean. if he has advised you to run a 4bar fpr then thats because hes left it lean up top and thinks the 4 bar fps will sort this, wrong.
get yourself to badger5 as hes not far from you and get a proper map and not a borrowed one.

Funny thing is,I did read that it needs to mapped for a 4bfpr..
Once it's mapped for it it should stay there.
And if it's been mapped without one don't fit one!

Would it not be foolish to dismiss the map without getting some more codes?
I know it's been running rich, but that because of the reg..I think.

And the boost...well that could be a number of things.
